Not been out on the trials bike for a while, as being riding the Welsh Classic Scrambles championship for the season. No transport and late notice meant I didn't make the Greensmiths, so went to a local Gwent trial instead. Report write up is on the http://www.twinshock.org.uk website, as well as some video footage. Nice to be back on TC

  7. Just a reminder in case youve forgot. Peak Classic Trials Club are holding round 9 of their club championship at Carsons farm, Grangemill Nr Matlock. Start 11.00 and as usual there will be classes for Pre70 British Bikes, Twinshock and pre 95 air cooled monoshocks with Expert, 50/50 Internediate and Clubman routes in each class. Sorry no modern bikes. We will be trying out something new this time. I have noticed that regrettably of late the number of pre70 British Bike entries especially on the Expert and 50/50 Intermediate routes have declined. This may be due to a perception that our trials do not cater for the Pre70 British Bikes and riders so this round and for the …

Dales Classic Trial... 25/9/2010 Sacheveral Farm, Elton, Derbyshire Prior to The Clubs Championship round 7, riders gathered on a bright and chill, yet poignant Saturday afternoon for two minutes silence to remember fellow competitor, Ged Speed, a true enthusiast and staunch club supporter. Ged passed away recently following a short illness at the age of 69. A collection was later made and donations forwarded to Chesterfield's Ashgate Hospice and to the RSPCA. Ged's funeral took place near his home in Hasland early last week and was well attended not only with family and friends but also many of Ged's motorcycle pals. This new trials venue, set in a disused lead mining …

Anyone seen an entry list yet, or had confirmation of getting a start?.

This years Peak Trial is definately on (7th November)and the club has rallied round with a young? and enthusiastic? committee. This years trial will start as usual at Hope Cement Works and will run 32 sections in three groups - Ellmore Hill Farm, Offerton Hall and Backtor. By avoiding previously used groups at Berrystall and Oxlow House, the organisers hope that there will be plenty of time to get back to the finish before dusk.

  13. Started by tricky dicky,

Sheffield & Hallamshire motor club are hosting the final round of the Challenge Lusky British sidecar trials championships in the vicinity of Hope in Derbyshire on Sunday 7th November. The trial will have the usual sidecar classes but will also have a solo Expert and Clubman route. This year a new team is running the event and we have made significant changes largely to the route of the trial. For any regulars we will be starting at the usual Blue Circle cement works in Hope village and will take in the usual starter group of Elmore Hill farm at Brough which is only a couple of miles from the start and then the ride over to the excellent rocky stream at Offerton Hal…

  17. Just a reminder for your diary that this Sunday 19th Peak Classic Trials Club in conjunction with Loughborough and District are holding round 8 of their club championship away from their usual stomping ground of the Peak District National Park and are playing away in darkest Leicestershire. So instead of the usual rocks mud and steep grassy banks will be the challenges on offer for the day. Also for a change modern bikes will be allowed to compete for this event only as Loughborough and District is a modern bike club however the trial will be as always run as a no stop event i.e. you cease forward motion you get a five. Simples Last year when we held this event for the…
