Manchester 17 MCC are running the first of their popular "Dead Easy" format trials at Victory Quarry on the outskirts of Buxton this Sunday 2nd April. The Dead Easy trials are predominately aimed at beginners and clubmen wishing to have an easy run out. However, due to a loss of venue (due to being water-logged) their usual harder "Masters" Trial will also take place at Victory Quarry with the addition of a hard route. Basically there will be 3 routes to choose from, with an additonal 50/50 option for the adventurous clubmen and Inter riders wishing to tackle some of the harder sections. The white route is for absolute beginners, yellow route for clubman wanting an …

Rmc are now underway with the organisation for this years event which will take place on the 20th 21st & 22nd of July. Since last years event the Club have been granted planning permission from the National Parks for the use of the SSSI land which plays such a big part in the routes used. The marking out gangs will have to be out earlier than normal as GPS routes & Way marked section locations have to be provided to comply with the National Parks requirements, this information has to be provided 2 months in advance. Obviously in getting the permissions RMC have incurred substantial costs as a professional Planning Consultant was employed by the Club. So this year…

Ross Danby outclassed the rest of the Midland Centre Experts to take the Vale of Evesham Midland Centre Championship Trial at Grove Quarry on Sunday. Danby had just two single dabs, both on the second section in Dovedale wood (observed by yours truly) from runner up Mark Hicken who finished on 13 with John Cowley on 16. Set out by Evesham's own Dean Basford in Dovedale, the A route climbed up the steep wooded bank turning back accross a near vertical rooted camber to the ends cards. As the first real tester of the day, the experts stood and pondered the chances of making the camber for a considerable time. Ian Watts was the first brave rider to try and subsequently fa…

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club staged the Ralph Varden Centre Championship trial at Hancocks Wood near Boradway on Sunday 12th December. Heavy rain the day before made some of the steeper sections very tricky, but with three route available most riders had a good, if rather muddy day out. Results to follow soon. 20. Hi there, Just wondered if anyone else is popping along to the above trial over the weekend. It's any bike, any rider on Saturday and then their normal classes on Sunday. It'll be the first trial i've ridden in 20 odd years so i thought i'd break myself in gently. It's a pity i can't stay for the BBQ and Bar though! Roy.
