hi I'm thinking about getting a bike for my daughter, son, and possibly self (but not admitting that of course). Daughter is 17 and just started road racing, hardly ever been on a bike but doing really well (2 knee slider scrapes, 2 offs and a wheelie), could do with more time on 2 wheels. Son is 14 and interested in trials. Me mountain biker. Not much money left (obviously!) and don't know where to take trails bike near Sheff. Any advice or other comments gratefully received. ........oh I have heard of Doncaster quarry, does it exist?

Rode The Cleveland yesterday- first time in 14 years, really enjoyed it. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't attempt the Expert route, "No-way" we said, "Ridiculous" we muttered, whilst checking out some of the expert sections on our way'round the intermediate course.....then I find out today that Jarvis rode the whole trial for 5 marks, and it's not a typo! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dave.ransome/...rialresult3.pdf

Just got back from the first youth A&B of the season could of done with skis on some of the sections. Good day out though even the weather was spot on, only trouble was we were spectating instead of competing. Anyway anybody got the results? the scoreboard was A4 sheets & slightly small with thirty odd people looking.

Anybody seen the little video on James Lampkin's website? I didn't realise James did that sort of stuff - pretty impressive really. And that final jump looks massive from that angle, it doesn't look that big when you're sat down at Sheffield arena

If you want to get a trials bike registered, DO NOT go anywhere near the Wimbledon DVLA office, as they are the most awkward bunch of people you could meet, when it comes to registering a used trials bike. The reason I wanted to get it insured was to keep my no claims going, and because I didn't want to use protect-a-bike insurance from TMX, as you then have to buy all sorts of approved locks, anchors etc. Plus I was up against time, as Carole Nash (along with all the other insurance companies I tried, will only insure on a chasis number for 30 days. I went to Wimbledon DVLA twice, armed with all the documentation under the sun, including a Certificate of Newness from Ma…

Well, it looks like i'm going to be working in Edinborough for 2 weeks in march. That gives me a free weekend.. Any local events could come out to? Not necessarily to ride (haven't been riding this year. i'd ride crap!) i was thinking i might stay an extra day and go to Belfast for the indoor (saturday after). Then fly home sunday. Something tells me that plans' not going to fly with the wife though... -- Regards, Bentley Wolfe Senior Support Engineer, Macromedia Flash Senior Escalation Engineer Owner, MEGAMO MIDWEST - Megamo Biketrial Bikes!
