Looking at some old Kick-start videos the other day, then watching the world round at Hawkstone, its pretty clear to anyone that with modern machinery and new levels of fitness and skill from the 'pilots' , trials has progressed to an unprecedented level.. but my question is :- Where can it go from here? I will probably be a bit unpopular with this comment but I didn't find this years Hawkstone as good as last years (TC Party excluded). Even though it was clear that the organisation was virtually spot on and the best you will see anywhere. The reasons being that I had already seen the riders ride a lot of the sections (or similar) last year so I knew that they could do…

Where are the places to look with a view to buying a secondhand trials bike, either private or from a dealer? I've found eBay, Gumtree and the advert section of this site of course. I've also found a few other websites that just re-hash adverts from other sources (pretty pointless). Are there any others I should be looking at? What about dealers? I've found a few in the north of England but they're too far away, and anyway I'd rather buy a bike that hasn't spent too much time bouncing off rocks. I heard of BVM but they don't seem to have much on their website apart from new and nearly-new. I also found RCM in Cornwall but they are also a long way away, in the ot…

Guys, I'm after a new (to me) used bike... The question is where to start looking for one? Obviously, there are the classifieds here - and of course ebay. Can you suggest any other good places to look? Thanks - Matt.

Can anybody help with contact details of where they have found best prices for Dunlops or Michelins. Looking on the web prices for rears range from 65 to 90 pounds which seems a huge variation. Also do the tyres go "off" with age, for example would a new tyre stored for 5 years begin to harden and become less grippy. Thanks Graeme

Can anyone out there tell me if there are any good places to practise around the Haddington area just south of Edinburgh? Is anyone heading out on the 22nd of March - could I tag along? I am staying over there for a few months. I am from the West coast of Scotland but don't let that put you off..... Cheers Stu

Hi. I live in lancaster, lancashire and am struggling to find anywhere to ride. I fancy some greenlanes or something as i am just starting out. My bike is on the road so not a problem to ride to somewhere. I know there used to be some green lanes around the trough of bowland but i dont know if they are still open to bikes. I have been to Delph quarry but its very small. Good for a bit of practice though. Any ideas? Cheers

Chaps, Heading out tomorrow for the first time in 6 odd months. Looks like there are 3 reasonably local options but I'm not too sure what direction to head in?? Only managed 2 trials last year after a 10 year lay off too....so, level wise....probably going to be beginner route!! Any ideas on the venues/what I can expect? Cheers
