My local 'Classic Bike' shop has closed where I used to buy, a stick on background (BSI Approved !) and compact (read small) letters for my reg plate. I haven't needed to make a bike plate since this new law about producing a V55 and no stick on letters came in. What's the crack ? Are there any dealers around that will still sell this stuff. or are there any other suggestions for creating the plate - not looking for it to be legal, but maybe a bit bigger than the plate that MarkyBoy sports on his Scorpa

  6. Started by rothers,

Have just acquired a rare aprilia 50 trials of 1981 vintage..... (similar to a fantic 50). It's got the obligatory minarelli motor but the carburations a bit, erm, fluffy! -runs all nice at tick over, ok on full throttle but not so good on the rest. Carb doesn't have a pilot jet, just a main and an emulsion tube. Anybody got a carb of japanese origin (approx 15mm) they would care to pass on for a good price......? Andy.

Dunno if anyones interested, I can cut (by computer & CNC cutter) any size of letter & font together which could be applied if required onto a rear mudguard. Would do 2 identical sets for a tenner in case a mudguard should get broken...... Can also re-produce any graphics for classics from a tracing or a photo. you can mail me direct on graffics@tiscali.co.uk Andy.

Does anybody know which dealers stock this stuff? Despite caroline saying there was no demand for the blue I gather wayne is the importer/distributer now and fancied a look at the stuff. Bought a pair of gloves in spain and there were the best I've ever had. Does that mean he has fallen out with Vesty?

I've just been having a look on the ACU website and spotted their "Child Protection Policy" on the front page. The part on photography is somewhat interesting (to me anyway). "There is evidence that some people have used sporting events as an opportunity to take inappropriate photographs or film footage of young and disabled sportspeople in vulnerable positions. It is advisable that all sporting organisations adhere to the appropriate guidelines given below: Professional photographers/filming/video operators wishing to record the event should seek accreditation with the event organiser by producing their professional identification for the details to be recorded.
