Does anyone have any further details on this trial. Is it a hard trial or easier than most? I am new and would be doing the easy route. What type of ground? Dirt/grass, rocks, water? Thank you for the heads up. I'll ring up the contact number on calendar on sat

As I sit here nursing yet another motocross related injury - broken collar bone this time , I,m seriously considering a change to trials and have a couple of basic questions 1) Is 55 too old to start ? lol 2) What is the ideal starter bike , I have a decent budget around 3.5 / 4 k on the basis that I,m conversant with both fitness and bike preparation this seems a good move to me but would welcome any thoughts / advice / info etc am based in the Heathrow area

I had a great day at the dead easy trial yesterday, organised by Manchester 17 trials club, i was out to beat my personal best which was to do more than one lap and i made it to the third lap but to my disappointment i had ran out of time so officially i did two laps but unofficially i did two and a half but i was done for by then, i don't get nervous as a rule but for the whole of the first 10 sections i couldn't shake the nerves, i ran over pegs and i started on one section and ended up wandering on to another section but then i calmed myself down and started to think things through and did the next 9 sections clean and even on the tenth section i only dropped one point…

This name mean anything to anybody? Something has come to light that may be of interest to Mr. Hope if he's still with us or perhaps to his family.

i had a great time today on my very first trial, i went to the dead easy trial, organised by manchester 17 trials club, i couldn't finish, i'm just not fit enough but i enjoyed every minuet, the biggest problem was the rain, it made the grass really slippery, i think if it wasn't so wet i could of done more but i now know what i have got to work on the most to do better next time, i also got chatting to quite a few people so i made a few more friends so all in all a perfect day especially driving home from near buxton, the view was great.

i had my first real go on my bike today, thanks to Ian, one of our members, we met at earl shilton and we went on some of the easier routs, some i had a go at, some i left alone for today, i was made welcome by some of the other riders and not once did i feel out of place, the one thing i didn't recon on was how much my muscles would hurt, even my neck muscles hurt, with not being used to an helmet, i didn't quite make the full afternoon but it didn't matter because the time i did have riding was the best fun i have had in a long time, so thats it for me, i'm hooked, thanks Ian for a great day out.
