As it's on my doorstep, almost literally, I went up to spectate at Hookwood last weekend. Some of those sections looked truly gruesome, especially given the amount of mud that was around. I was having difficulty standing up on two feet, let alone two wheels! Hats off to all of the competitors for sticking at it and rewarding us all with a great day; very well done!

Just got back from Nord Vue, where the Briish Experts trial took place, and I had a really great day. Graham Jarvis has sorted some awesome sections, blending natural areas of the quarry with manmade sections, and all sections were very challenging. Dougie won with Michael Brown second and Dabil third. Bit of a scare for us all when dougie tried section 13 on lap 2 ( which had 2 vertical climbs of about 12 feet) and failed to reach top of second one. His father was shouting about his injured eye while still holding onto Dougie's bike, looked like handlebar had hit him above the eye, when a medic eventually came there was quite a bit of blood to be seen good job it missed …

Anywhere I can dig up the winners for the experts (solos and barrow boys) through the years?

  12. Started by nickerlias,

Is anyone planning to ride the British Experts Trial on 26th July? I understand that the severity should cater for everyone. There is the hard route for the really top men, a middle route that will be easier than a Experts course at a Brtish Championship round and a clubman route which will be about the standard of the clubman course in a National. I would say that Graham Jarvis will put on an excellent trial at an excellent venue so get your entries in!!!

More traditional but don't let that fool you with some streams having numerous steps rangeing from 4 -15 in height. Trial more suitable for the present rules. Practise starts on Sat 4-6.Trial starts 9am the following morning. The B C still has to be decided so come along and see Steve Colley attempting to close the series as Champion or push current champion Graham Jarvis for an outright win on the day!Good spectating. Apologies - this should be on the front page - rushing to get them on here, before I go out. My only involvement was observing this year and I dashed away early to get bike ready for Victory Trial, so I'll leave any reports to someone else who knows what went on. In my book you're all nutters, no matter what they say, especially the passengers Results below: Trophy_Trial_Results.pdf
