I have been reliably informed by the clubs that both the Wrexham and Cheadle trials (20th Jan) have been unsurprisingly cancelled due to the snow.

Due to the current adverse weather (Friday evening) and the predictions for more snow Saturday and Sunday in the Bradwell area, we have taken the decision to cancel the trial due to run this Sunday (20th January) at Moss Rake. Due to a very congested East Midland Centre calendar, it is unlikely we will be able to re-schedule this event at all this year. Sorry folks Regards, Andy Atkinson

Hi guys my first post on the forum so I'd like to firstly say hello to everyone , I've recently decided to make the jump from motocross over to trials , having spent most of my teens riding cycle trials it's something I've always wanted to do but all my mates ride mx so that's where I found myself. I've not sourced a bike yet but I've got a budget of about 1700 to 2k . I can't help but keep looking at the montesa 315 hrs , something about them bikes I love , I've read a lot of thread on which second hand bike to buy and the conclusion of most is find one that's suits your riding style , but how do I make that call if I've never riden a trials bike before ? Would the mont…

Do any clubs offer day membership for there closed to club trials on a year round basis. If so has this resulted in any increase in entries.

Well today I attended the Cumberland county MCC new years day trial at Nord Vue farm, this being only my 4th trial (and 2 of those were in 2011) I was a little apprehensive. The venue was unbelievable and the weather kind, after a shaky start mostly due to nerves I got around OK and even got better on each lap. I think the organisers got the sections spot on, just challenging enough to make me work but nothing over the top. A great day with a bunch of nice people in great surroundings, I came away wanting more and not ready to give in and take up Knitting, so it must have been right. A huge thanks to all involved, Can't wait till the next event. Chris

Alright All!! Just wanted to say that after plenty of advice from this forum i finally bit the bullet and sold the GSXR 750 and last Monday took delivery of a Gas Gas TXT 250 pro, so over the space of the week i listened to the advice on here and began collecting the relevant kit required. The bike, helmet and boots came from RAS SPORT in brighouse and i must say the service was great and got the rest of my tackle, including a TRIALS FOR NUMPTYS DVD from TRIALS UK in Horsforth again excellent service! I opted for a rear mounted bike rack from Dave Cooper and had the toe bar fitted Friday. So yesterday was the first chance I had to get out and ride. I headed over to Sw…

Hi Folks, I'm just getting to the end of rebuilding my Fantic 240 for the 2nd time (proper job this time!) and it's exagerated just how tatty the wheels are. Seems a shame to leave them as they are when the rest of the bike is looking so fresh, so I'm wanting to get the hubs/rims powder coated and them rebuilt with stainless spokes and nipples. The question is, can anyone recomend anyone who can do the job in the North West of England at a reasonable price? Failing that, how hard is it to try the rebuild my self and what equipment would I need? Happy to try most things once! Thanks very much, hope someone can help.

I'm looking to do a full national trials championship in 2013; I'm currently riding at Clubman level in the South West but wanting to make the step to Expert soon. I'll hopefully be dovetailing it with a crack at a South West championship and the West of England series. Based in Devon but happy to travel, mostly. I have a modern Sherco 250 and no road licence (as yet), so it needs to be a championship with no road work and that will accept modern bikes. Does the Normandale championship have a modern category? And are most of their trials single venue? Any recommendations of championships to consider, whether from happy personal experience, vigourous spectating endeavour…
