Hi all, Just curious about castrols recommended 2 stroke oil for the 250 Evo, There first recommendation is Power 1 scooter, they say that scooters do a lot of stop/start and the oil is very good for this type of riding (Trials) and has excellent non exhaust clogging properties, There alternative recommendation is Power 1 Racing Just wondered if anyone has used the scooter oil,(opinions) They also say Ratio 66:1 but on the bottle it says upto 50:1 Just getting back into trials from a long time at enduro, I used power 1 racing for enduro, is this oil OTT for trials Many thanks Jeffers

Hi, I'm looking to spectate at a trail on Sunday in part just for the fun of it but also to get an idea what to expect from an easy/novice route. Seaton Delaval and Richmond Motor Club are both have trials listed and are within reasonable traveling distance. I've tried this previously and only really found people riding between sections, and sections in quarries which I'm hoping were part of an advanced route as the riding was well beyond my current capabilities. Has anyone got any advice on a suitable place and time? Thanks Allan

Someone has butchered a paint job on the scorpa I bought. It's the wrong colour and its all cracked on the tank with expanding. I was going to leave it but it looks pants. How is it best to start stripping the crap off and painting it again. I've just seen a video of Rit dye but that seems a little restrictive. Its a 2003 scorpa sy250. Also, the mud guard has developed a fracture just after the bolt hole. I dont think it helped being on the back of the DC bike rack and the wind pulling up on the guard, in future i will remove the mud guard when its on the rack. if i drill holes either side of the crack and use small cable ties will that do for now? I am desperately trying to get hold of Bill Beveridge to find out when I can expect the return of my Tiger Cub engine cases and alloy barrel which were sent to him early December 2012. I have had a couple of conversations and received promises from him for the return of my parts but I am now getting anxious that the parts have not been returned and I am unable to contact him. I subsequently sent a set of Fantic fork legs for fitting to newly cast lower legs which were being supplied by him these have also not been returned to me. I have left messages on his workshop number and mobile but I am getting no reply. Can anyone offer any suggestions where I can go from he…

finally got round to pulling my barrel off last week after listen to my piston slap for a few weeks knock knock who is there piston slap so was lucky that it haven't picked up in the barrel a de glaze and she was good as new so my bike had a b piston in beta dose 4 pistons abcd thay do say put the next size up that will mean ill put a c in it then i was told different go up two from standard as the c wont take long before ill have the same problem with the piston slap so ended up buying the d size piston kit small end bearing and base gasket and head gasket the base now the old base gasket was around 3 mm thick and the new was 1 m ish has it come from factory with…

Many years ago ( 50) I was a pimply faced apprentice motor cycle mechanic in a Matchless dealership in Auckland NZ. (John Dale Ltd) We had for a period one Mechanic, Bob Gollner who was a keen trials rider and I might say a very good one too. While there Bob built a trials bile using a Villiers motor. I notice in various mags the same name being mentioned as an owner of a co building trials bikes in GB. (Cheetah) Is this the same guy? If not its a strange coincidence as "our Bob was an englishman and a nice guy into the bargain. Can anyone enlighten me, and if the same what or where is he now? Regards. good forum. Dave

If you are a Darwen trials club member and rode Grime hills trial the other night . I would like to say thanks to those of you who took the time to direct ,talk and generally made me feel at home . I enjoyed the banter with several of you , The big guy on the Armstrong TL , the teenage lad on his grandads immaculate tiger cub and big guy with the Max Equip shirt . Hi, Myself and a couple of riding mates are looking to do a trial or two away from our local area for a change of scenery. We are based in Hampshire so experience plenty of mud, tree roots, logs etc but fancy riding something a little different. We don't mind travelling and staying overnight for the "right" venue. Our riding level is clubman C route so we are not looking for anything too severe but quite fancy some stream / river riding or mild rocks, the kinda things we don't get down south... Open to all suggestions with the criteria that the venue must be in England or Wales. Please list venue and club that runs the trial and any pictures would be a bonus! Cheers, …

Been desperate to get out with the camera, particularly before SSDT, but had a s****y knee problem that's kept me pretty much housebound for the past couple of months. However, it seems to be on the mend so thinking about heading down on Sunday. Anybody know how easy it is to get around this Trial? The knee isn't strong enough for loads of clambering about yet, but if it's not too bad and sections are easily accessible I fancy the trip

Hi all. Started last year riding the easy route at my local club and absolutely loved it. Did quite well, decided to go upto clubman route this year, Wow what a difference, I've done 2 trials now, I thought I'd done better on Saturday but seen results and I came last. So what. I can't put into words how much I enjoyed it. Things can only get better lol. My point is just jump in and do it!
