Most riders have been contacted but there a few I don't have a number for - the Jack Wood is cancelled due to the weather. Sections are OK but the roads are not so for observers to get around the course and stand out in the sub zero temperatures would be very difficult and therefore make going ahead not a sensible decision on the clubs part. Days of work wasted! - we might be able to find a new date but with a packed calendar we can't promise anything. Cheers HMCC

This week sees the Government launch a consultation on post-Brexit agricultural subsidies with an accent on recreational access. Several groups see this as a chance to increase their access to "the countryside", no doubt at our expense. There must be officials from both ACU and AMCA on here - can they tell us if these organisations have been invited to take part and, if not, what steps are to be taken to ensure our voice is heard?

Did the Manchester 17 Dead easy trial and thoroughly enjoyed it, just wondering if any other clubs in the North of England are running dead easy routes? Cheers all!

Hi all, I currently own a montesa 315r, I believe to be a 99 bike. The bike is great and I have no issues. I use it to ride in Clubman B, but I have decided its time to treat myself as I want to get more serious into trials. I'm still along way off from being able to ride as spectacular as some so I'm looking for a good bike to see me through the next 2 or 3 years. I have had beta, sherico and this montesa, but they have all been second hand etc and I had all sorts of issues with the sherico, but I have no idea what there are like new. Any suggestions or preferences as to what would suit me. Ps don't know if it helps but I'm about 5"10 and stocky build (not fat), I weigh…

Title says it all really.. What does everyone think who’s the best to go to for some training ? Inch perfect? Stu day ? I know Dabill does some training sometimes .. Plan on having a good training day on my birthday while everyone’s working ?

I live near Bristol, so within the Wessex Centre, but also close to Western And South-Western Centres. Which club would local forumites recommend for a novice looking for as many easy trials as possible?

I would quite like details of a Scott equivalent time observation trial for next year suitable for clubman / youth.

theres a trial sunday at thurlestone quarry and I haven't rode there before. ive been trying to find out what the access is like to the venue but had no look. on google maps the road up passed the houses from the bottom looks quite tight and narrow. is this the case or is it fairly wide? the reason for asking my dads not got a cheap van yet for riding and as you will all know a lot of venues have terrible access. and I don't want him to drive up in his good van and not be able to get up there without any scratches. thanks

Hi, does anyone know where I could get a new set of tyres fitted in Lancs? I'm in Clitheroe and near to Inch Perfect but I don't think they do tyres...or do they? Cheers

Triallers Helen Greaves and Paul Hobson are reviving the Batley Motorcycleand Car Club after several dormant years. They will run a trial catering for all classes, in particular Twin Shock and Pre 65 machines as well as modern,at the Parkwood Offroad Centre at Tong on Nov 26 starting at 11 am under Yorkshire Centre ACU permit. Batley ran hillclimbs and road races plus trials for many years, but were also particularly involved in providing interesting vehicles to the creators of the popular 'The Last of the Summer Wine' TV series........ Many will also remember the Cadwell Park races as well as the Baitings Dam hill climbs that were under Batley jurisdict…

Arkengarthdale trialler Jack Stones (189) rode the Scott trial on October 21aiming to get his 300cc Beta through the eighty sections then park it in hisgarage. Jack's next mount will be a jumbo jet and the long flight to NewZealand where he will work for three months as an agricultural engineer withhis pal Graham Clarkson (79). It will be second time round for Jack who works on the family farm for his father Robert. For Graham Clarkson it will be afirst time antipodean adventure. Hi I am just starting my 13 year old son on trials riding, we have purchased a Sherco 80 approx. 2004 which he enjoys riding and has mastered basic clutch/gears etc. My question is how do we start trialing? we have joined the ACU and I would like to enter him in some "easy" trials events to get him some confidence. We live in the Lancashire region and do not mind travelling. Can anybody give us some advice on how to get going?. Many thanks Richard.

The funeral service former scrambler and motorcycle importer and dealer Nev Mason took place on Tuesday 23 October at the Haltemprice Crematorium at Willerby, Hull. Nev Mason was a talented scrambler and took on the likes of Arthur Lampkin and Peter Fletcher in the sixties. He joined forces with Alan Voase to create an import business under the name of Neval Motorcycles that specialised in motorcycles from behind the Iron Curtain namely Russia and Poland. Nev’s son John took over the south HumbersIde located business and ran it for several years before emigrating to France with his father. It is understood that the Mason family have returned to the UK …
