Hi Everybody -- I have a Greeves alloy tank (the 2 gallon version) marked with the number 37 on a splash of light green paint. As we all probably know this is almost certainly marking from the SSDT. I suspect that the tank was used - 1968 or 1969 or 1970 or perhaps 1971 but have no hard evidence to support this. Can anyone tie a riders name to this information. Just to reiterate the bike would have been a Greeves or Triumph/Greeves and the year would have probably been the late sixties, a year when a light green marking paint was used.

Hi Folks, As it says above, I have managed to get an entry for this years SSDT and as I discovered today I am mega unfit (I blame man flu and christmas beer!) I am trying to ride as much as possible and have started riding the hard route but the trials in my area all seem to be in quarries, don't get me wrong the trials are really good and land is hard to come by but I want to try something that is a little more like the scottish, something which has sections in burns and has a good couple of miles round the loop and a bit of a challenge but not something where I will break myself or the bike. I am willing to travel, 2.5 hours will be my limit. (I live in Gainsbor…

.....I'm WALKING it! In order to raise money for some very deserving Scottish charities a team of 4 of us are taking part in the RBS Caledonian Challenge walking 54 miles across SSDT territory in 20 hours. Setting off at midday we will carry on walking through the night, with the route taking us from the start about 10 miles north of Fort Willaim, down to Fort William, up Glen Nevis, down into Kinlochleven, up Pipeline, over the Devil's staircase, across Glencoe moor and all the way down to the banks on Loch Lomond. Well, what was a certain Mr Colley riding when he won in 1997 and 2000??? I'm sure it was a gasser, especially as when I bought the '97 one off him he told me it had just won the event, but I could be wrong, you know what these dodgy second hand bike salesmen are like he he! is any one coming past preston from the scottish on the monday night?

Just been watchin trotters burn 2009 on youtube......I now see the need for waterproofs ! When you ride a 4rt, do you get a free alpinestars jacket with it, as they've all got one on. Just out of curiosity.....how long do you ride for each day, and where abouts does this section come in to play (what day?/after how long?) as everyone looks rather cream crackered !!! If it sounds as though Im having a go, I assure you Im not......just interested thats all ! Should've carried on looking at youtube......it says its on day 1.

Was in my local last night and spotted a beer mat advertising a Scottish brewery. The slogan on it would make a perfect slogan for the Scottish: "It's not rain, just beer you haven't drunk yet"

I noticed on the Friday provisional results page Amos Bilbao is showing as a retired rider. Does anyone know what occurred which forced his retirement today?
