For all you riders competing in the SSDT this year I would recommend you visit HERE and order youself a quality photo of ''Your Holiday in the Highlands'' I am not on any commission for pluging this only to say I have ordered a couple of photo's from Andy and they are quality, so it is worth you spending a bit of brass as it is only a samll amount of what you spent last week up there on keeping your bike going or keeping yourself lubricated in the evening on BEER!!! As Andy says the money goes back into our sport so another worthwhile reason for doing it.

Here are my photos from the scottish, sadly i was only able to make it to the nevis bank sections on the satarrday below i have listed the riders who's number i can see but there are also other riders whom number i couldnt make out. i have put them on my photobox acount because it is the easyest method for me to upload them but i havent water marked them or taken the res down so people can take them as they please. I urgently need high resolution digital or scanned photos of riders in the 1970's 80's 90's. I only really need one from each decade but would like a choice. They would ideally be in landscape and show the riders face as well as the bike, sections and ideally a little background. If you can help please PM me and I'll supply a email address. Hearing the conditions are so bad that the event has been cancelled for day two and some thoughts that scores might be difficult to calculate due to observers cards being illegible.

Going though some old photos and came across some from Ssdt. Mick Andrews on a Majesty yam 182. Bernie Schreiber on bultaco 176. Also some one on a Matchless number 193. who is this person and did he finish .The photo was taken on the Wedensday at Achallader.

Do you need a licence to ride on the roads for this trial or what way does it work? Is it by the cc of the bike or the amount of hp it has? Thanks

Hi Guy's It as been some time now, and I just wondered if there was any new information on progress made to retifie the situation, as the year seems to be slipping by quickly. Regards Charlie.

Just a brief note to say that following lots of hard work the SSDT committee can confirm that they have resolved the re-fueling issues for the 2009 event. Some details have yet to be firmed up but the good news is that the event will be on and the club will be in a position to provide a re-fueling service. As far as costs are concerned we are working to keep these to a minimum but there will undoubtedly be some increase to cover essentials such as provision of vehicles and equipment. We will be working on this over the next month and hope to have finalised things by mid October. Watch this space. Mark

pretty sure its me. but trying to find the results for yesterday to see how my mates going on, but can't seem to find any, other than that spot track thing? which i haven't got a clue how to use.

Has any-one got an idea of what bikes and how many retired out of this years ssdt, i'm not talking about rider fatigue its mechanical breakdowns, it would be good to see after such a bad week.

I was looking through the day one results and noticed the name D.Thorpe. Is this the former 500cc MX World Champ David Thorpe? I looked around and couldnt find anymore info.
