With David Knight opting out of competing in this years Hells Gate event to focus on his GNCC preparations it was left to our lads Jarvis, Bolton, Sagar, Evans and Wrayford to put pressure on the young Polish rider. Jarvis almost caused an upset and was applying the pressure on Taddy and at one point in the race was under a minute behind Taddy, but tiredness and leg pain from an earlier accident kicked in towards the end and Taddy pulled away from Jarvis during the fourth and final lap to take the victory. Grahams performance was all the more astounding when he qualified in the top 10 in the morning enduro on a Sherco four banger trials bike with no big tank or comfy s…

I read with interest reports that organisers are considering runnning the 2009 Dakar Rally in South America. Should it still be the 'Dakar' as it would be in an entirely different continent?

It's crazy I tell you, I mean , they give you all the other tools you might need , but not a plug spanner ? Then they have the cheek to give you a bl***y bottle opener, WHAT! So then gents, why is this ? Are KTM trying to promote alcohol or what ? And to top it off, a normal plug socket won't even fit in the hole ! How daft are the people that design these bikes! They can't even make the bash plates on time. (2008 EXC250F)

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the National Trail Bike Championship on 23rd Sept. The OK Supreme LDT. Starting at Blackwell Village Hall, the trial will follow a 75mile route around the Cotswold hills. Taking in many minor back roads, tracks, trails and a lot of private land around the course, riders will be faced with 26 sections set out suitable for trail and enduro bikes. As the OK Supreme traditionally has very easy, wide sections; the organisers will be putting in six 'championship route' sections with an additional hard route to test the regular front runners in the series. The remainder of the sections will be one route and NO INSPECTION al…

Well done lad !! He beat Knight for the win, even though Knight was not trying as hard as he could, so he would win the championship, a win is a win, and robbed knight of the $50 000 extra for completing the hat trick.. A bit p*ssed off I think, but then again he has won the championship and well done to him too for that !!

Fancy going a bit faster? I know we've got quite a few people around the southeast, so I thought this might be of interest to one or two . . . I was talking to Ady Smith of Ady Smith KTM off-road schools fame today, about the possibility of organising a two day enduro school at their Eastbourne site in January or February next year. This would be a step up from the more common "try out" or "experience" days, with the emphasis on improving skills rather than just "having a go". Previous off road experience isn't esential, but you'll need generally confident bike skills. The enduro schools are normally held in Rugeley, Staffs but Ady is happy to run one dahn saaf if the…

Hi all I have been riding my 2006 Yamaha YZF250 for around 6 months now. I am getting used to riding a four stroke motocross bike. However in recent very wet events, I have come across the wobblers (or slow b******* as some people call them) being very slow and struggling. To keep the bike running I am having to keep applying and slipping the clutch while waiting for a chance to get by. But this quickly causes the clutch to over heat and become virtually ineffective so I keep stalling the bike. It cools down when I stop for 10minutes or after I

After some 10 years doing trials only I somewhat lost contact to the enduro world.. I still think that a xr250 is a good bike but must be the only one... now: What bike do you use nowadays doing the following: goes on the back of a campervan , thus less tha 120 kg has two seats ( the missus wants to come along as well) and is road legal has a bit of grunt to take me through the backcountry... maybe without the missus on the back.., though the DR350 stopped in'99 the DRZ has no 2nd seat... what to do? Still fancy a KLX, but no..it's not legal ( must be getting old caring about this ..) And please, do not recommend a 200 cc chinese bike.. I can still recall riding…
