Hi guys, at a recent trial i hit my footrest of a rock and bent the bracket, when i came back from practise the other day, it was annoying me because it was bent down and back so my foot would fall off when i hit something or if the footpeg was full of mud, so i took it off to notice a huge split down one of the arms which the bolt goes through to attach it to the frame then when i took it right off it just snapped!! Can you weld brocken brackets or do i need a new one if so how much are they?? cheers chris

HI Guys Just found this forum for the educated Trials rider and for those who are smart enough to be on a Beta. Just a quick email to let you guys know that I have all the spare parts breakdowns on my website downloadable as a PDF file. I haven't got the 2004 on there yet as I have a problem up loading to the site. Hopefully the IT geek will fix some time soon - it has only been 3-4 months!!!!!! Hope this helps my fellow Beta riders through out the Trials world. address is : www.kdmototrials.com.au Select spare parts then choose your model, right click and "save target as" to your hard drive. Keep ya feet up Kal "Somedays your the dog, somedays your the tree"

  5. Hello; I'm 54 and a heavily addicted adventure rider. I own a couple of acres of redwood forest and have been thinking about getting a trials bike to put around on the property to work on balance and control. Full disclosure, I rode dirt bikes as a young man for a few years, but was never a really an accomplished rider. Raced mountain bikes very seriously for years after that, but hadn't had my leg over a motorcycle in 25 years when I bought my KTM 1190 Adv R in 2014. I have always had really good balance and could ride my mounting bike through very difficult terrain, but at the same time couldn't do a track stand. So, long story short, while I do a good amount of of…

just seen the new 2006 beta yesterday, looks great i suppose, if you can really change te look dramatically on the same bike. the thing that suprised me is that the plastices are matt black, from pictures i thought they were going to be silver again with different stickers. the headlamp, unbelievable, looks even worse that before, i think they must have been watching a documentary on the stealth fighter jet when they designed it. but in general it does seem to be the same old beta with a few new stickers.

Has anyone found a good colour match or paint code for the Beta frames in white? It may be that Beta used powder coat originally but I'd like to touch up repair some paint damage? Beta uk don't have any 2021 frame tank decals in stock which I'd also like. Thanks

Hi, I have just bought a 99 Beta Techno, from cold with the choke on it starts no problem...if I turn the choke off once running the bike will not run, opening the throttle sems to just bog it right down. It also has idling issues, and once warm it can be a real pain to start (choke on or off). So I guess the carb settings are way out??...can anyone give me the factory settings for the carb I can use as a starting piont? Or suggest what else the problem could be? Thanks

I was under the impression the Rev3 2001-2006 pastics are interchangeable, but from what i can work out the front mud gaurds on the 2004 2005 & 2006 are mounted differently to 2001, 2002 & 2003. I WAS going to put 2004 plastics and stickers on my 2003 but i'm guessing i cant do this now?

Well, I've managed to bend my forks, bit of a hard hit into a wall I was trying to get up, didn't get the front wheel high enough. Anyway thought it was the bars, just changed them and it's still out, but cant put my finger on exactly whats bent, wheel is out to the left by about 5-10deg. It's a techno 1995 last of the upside forks I believe, will other years models fit my bike? As parts a quite hard to come by Thanks

Hi Guys, I usualy stick around the sherco forum, but recently I have been looking to update to a newer bike, I currently ride a 2001 sherco 290 (272cc) but I have seen an 09 Beta evo 290 for sale fairly close to me (I was looking and changing to a 250), it also comes with an Arrow Ti exhaust system and flywheel weight, can anybody give me abit of advice as to what the power would be like on this bike compared to my current ride and how much difference the Arrow system would make, and would the flywheel weight be a good addition along with this exhaust? The exhaust and weight come with the bike but are not fitted so I could choose whether to run them or not. I am also awa…

Looking for a bit of advice Just done the main bearings on my 06 rev3 250, put it all back together , started it up and it runs fine and sounds perfect. Took it out for a run and after about 10/ 15 mins it started to make a noise that sounded a bit like a top end rattle or knock then start to die then cut out but it started up again straight away and sounded perfect, then after another few mins same again but this time didn't cut out as I managed to keep it going by pulling the clutch in and catching it on the throttle. If I go and start it now it will go first kick and sound spot on, it only seems to happen after a wee while when its under load. The only other thing…

Hello every one So recently well riding my bike staled out and would not budge. Bound up, kicker will not move. Motor will not bump. I walked her home. Once home I was able to pull the wheel through the stroke and freed it up. Started right up but sounding loud. Shut it down. After looking inside. I found lots of metal flakes under the piston and crank feels rough and sticky. So I think I will need to do the mains? I've never split a case before. What special tools will I need. Is it easy to remove and install the gears. I'm a bit nervous any help and all the tips I can get would be much appreciated thanks Z

  18. Have done searches, and can't find much on the way of getting to the rear shock assembly on an EVO 4T to replace the spring. I've read where some have had to pull the air boot, pull the exhaust, kick stand and the entire shock linkage assembly to get the shock out. I'm just wanting to replace my spring. If I pull the exhaust, pull the top bolt and then spin back the large spring lock nuts, 1. Does the large slotted washer at the top of the shock simply slide out? 2. Would it then be possible to let the swingarm fall a little more after removing the top shock bolt and wiggle the spring out from the top? If not, what is the simplest way to get at the r…
