After seeing the local expert youth rider ace nearly all the sections at our local trial on Saturday on his 125 GG it brought it home to me that nobody really needs a 290 or a 300 or any other big cc machine to get on at local level. I loved my old rev3 250, so I was thinking about maybe a 200 rev3, having never been on one I was just wondering if they are as good as the smaller GG seemed to be. The smaller cc bikes just seem a whole lot better to ride (at my level anyway). My old 125 Scorpa always seemed to be very foregiving to ride and most of the time it got me out of trouble, I always thought that the Scorpa would be spot on if it was a full blown 200cc. I don't …

I hope this may help someone(if it hasn't been mentioned before) After replacing my steering head bearings on my 04 rev 3(as the top seal was faulty letting in water) I found that the top nut would come loose especially after droping off steps. This was only sometimes accompanied by a single click sound from the front end somewhere which i presumed was the mudguard slapping the tyre. The nut on inspection seemed to be fine and i could tighten it up very tight with no problem but it would still come loose. I also noticed at trials other bikes which had loose nuts(one was so loose i undid it with my fingers) Anyway a mechanic friend said that the nut probably had a crack…

I recently bought back my '00 250 rev 3......... well to make a long story short I've been going through it.?.!..?..!.... and I've found that the mid pipe has worn a sizeable divot into the gas tank ! Has any one ever worn through the tank? So far I've took a die grinder to the weld on the mid pipe and added some asbestos type muffler tape to the tank. I think this will be sufficient . Just wondering if any one else had this problem

Hi, Need some help with the wiring with my 1994 Beta Techno. I bought the bike and the lighting was removed. They also removed the cooling fan. I have been trying to get everything back together but the only way I can get the fan to start is if I give it a push. The lights are dim on the bike also. I think it may be the voltage regulator but not sure how to test. Thanks in advance for the help. KMS

Just wondered who makes the best fitting levers for the Evo Grimeca clutch and brake controls on a 2020 Evo 200? I’ve got a couple of sets of basic Apico dual purpose ones with the two sets of adjuster holes but they don’t have the same fit and feel as a genuine Beta one I have, a short type clutch lever from a Rev3. Unfortunately I only have one though and no brake side. And I prefer a matching pair! AS3 make some that look good or there’s the Apico Elite. Or does anyone make an OEM replica? Don’t really want to pay £30 odd quid each side for ones from Beta. Any suggestions?

Is there any kind of manual related to servicing the shock on a 2016 Evo 4t standard model? If not, are there any specifications for oil type, oil volume and gas pressure? I do see the remains of a sticker that probably said Sachs. I softened the fork valving and like the result so would like to soften the shock also.

Hello all, So I've seen a few posts regarding removing the reed spacer, doing so certainly does make it easier to get the carb in and out, but what is the consensus on effects on performance? I remember seeing a post or two that claimed that it helped performance but I've also heard that having the spacer in place boosts torque? I am fitting some vforce reeds and wondering if I should go with or without spacer. Thanks in advance, Colorado dirt rider 2005 Rev-3 270

I just got one for my 05 Rev3, but the instructions are in Italian. I need help with installation. Especially the fuel hose routing. I"ve have done a hose re routng mod to my carb so it doesn't leak fuel. I'm not sure how the fule line from the new seat integrades to my set up? It also has 3 allen head bolts that come with it. One of them is really long and the other 2 are shorter and in different lengths. Not sure where what side of the bike there for? CXan anyone explain? Has anyone fully installed it to their 05 Rev3 yet? The 06 one is different. And the 4 stroker is different. Thanks

Hi All, Just serviced the forks on my recently acquired 2001 Rev3. Does anyone know what the height of the oil should be in both legs with the forks fully extended? On my race bikes, this is far more accurate than measuring volume; you use a syringe (or the top of a squirty bottle thing) and push a disc of cardboard along the tube so the distance between the tube and the end of the disc is the same as the air gap (height of oil) and then simply extract fluid until no more will come. It's dead accurate and mitigates for any oil remaining in the fork or dampers. Does anyone know what the gaps should be? Thanks Graham

I'm on the look out for the first proper trials bike for my lad, I like the look of the beta's, particularly the 50 with gears and manual clutch. He has a CRF50 with 110 / 4 speed manual clutch fitted which he gets on really well with so I don't want to go back to a semi-auto. He's 8yrs and 4ft2in or 125cm tall. I want a decent bike so would like to buy nearly new, what sort of prices do the 50's fetch, it's difficult to get a handle on what things are worth when there are so few about. Oh and is there anything peculiar to the little betas which i should watch out for? Thanks for any pointers!

Last weekend snow fell here in Denver, so i took my 290 apart and greased all of the pivots. While i had the swingarm pivot bolt nut loose i was holding the swingarm at the axle slots, and i noticed that the swingarm bearings had enough play in them that the swingarm would move side to side at the axle slots 1/4". I realize that trials bikes dont usually roll very fast, but this does not seem ok, !/4" is alot of side to side movement. This movement was axial not side to side at the pivot. After tightening the pivot bolt the play dissapeared or i could not repeat the movment due to the friction of the pinch caused by the tightend pivot bolt. Has anyone else noticed this wi…

Hi, im looking for someone with abit of know how about my model of trials bike, its a beta techno 250, I think its a 1997 model but unsure. Anyway, the problem is that a couple of weeks ago I was messing about up the hills where I live when I decided to stop and have a breather. Five minutes or so later I jumped on and kicked her into life when the revs took off out of control! I panicked and hit the kill swith but its abit dodgy and wouldnt work, I couldnt reach HT lead to pull it off so all I could do was turn the fuel off and wait for her to starve. Ive been too scared to start her since incase I damage her. Could anyone tell me what the feck went wrong and how I wo…

Hi everyone this is not the ideal start to introduce myelf to the forums, bu i am trying to get the word out on my stolen 1996 beta techno 250. the bike was taken on friday 11th feb so i was thinking that you people and like minded enthusiasts might hear or get offered a bike!!?? she has been re sprayed all silver and has gold forks and gold talon sprocket, in reasonable condition for age, but does have a few distinguishable features, the gear and brake levers have ducktape on them, there is only one fan and rad guard on her and she has and i hate to say this but a motorcross tyre on the front, there is a reward for information leadng to the recovery of the bike, so if…
