Stolen Bikes

Hi eveyone, I am new to the world of Trials.... & a late starter too ~ Just wanted to inform the Bike World of an unhappy story. On the 18th of November I collected a '94 Gas Gas 250 from Cheshire that I had bought from an online site. The bike looked great & was just what I was looking for. I stayed at a friends house overnight in Nuneaton on my return journey. The horror when I saw the empty trailer in the morning. I had reversed the trailer & the car along side the house so that the trailer could not be taken. I had not given any thought to the fact that the bike could be lifed off the trailer & over the car......... Take notice all other new boys…

Unfortunately last night, Wednesday the 16th of November, or in the early hours of this morning, Thurs 17th Nov Splatshop was broken into. 2 Sherco trials bikes were taken from our premises, a 2007 Sherco 290 with 2008 plastics and stickers. (Frame no: VNBS129TR6A018036) and a 2011 Sherco 290 (Frame no: VNBS129TR9A023409). The 2011 has white domino grips and a Red number board with number 184, it look pretty immaculate as we had just got it ready for sale. (sorry no pictures of the 2011). My garage has been broken into overnight on Tues/Wed 3rd/4th October 2011. My two lads' Betas were stolen! The bikes are a 2004 Rev 50 with a black rear mudguard and a silver number board with the Beta logo, frame number 1000283, Vee Rubber Tyres, and red handlebars, with the yellow Beta bar pad. The second is a 2007 MiniTrial, red, frame number ZEMMF2TC55A100153. The Rear mudguard has been riveted, with a RAS Sport sticker over the rivets. It has/had a small Putoline sticker on each side and a Ras Sport sticker on the Number Board. Both bikes were still muddy from the weekend. stolen from high peak area, derbyshire. anywhere between buxton and manchester. i know its a very long shot, but back in 2002, my aprilia climber 280 and yamaha ty 250 were stolen from my garage. the yamaha turned up 2 years later 3 miles away. luckily with that one, it was john shirt's SSDT bike and had had J SHIRT stamped in all the places you couldnt imagine. with the aprilia though, it was a non runner, it had sucked an air box nut through and managed to completely destroy itself. it was distinctly marked, with nylon coated black forks and frame, plus the rear sub frame was a one off to suit that bike, after several snaps i decided a stronger sub was needed. the pl…

Was away at the Road Racing at East Fortune,great weekend. Got a phone call from the wife when I got to my work this morning saying the the shed where I keep my bike had been broken into.Luckily for me I have the bike stripped for servicing so they didn't take it,but they used my tools to try to remove the door from my other shed(didn't notice the coach bolts) with little success so tried to lever the roof of my other shed.I live in Whitecraig,East Lothian,so please be aware and make sure your bikes safe. cheers the noo Brian

My mate had his garage broken into on Weds night, one of four in his street to be turned over. Thieves took a TTR 125 and a 2006 SY 250 Scorpa, they ditched the TTR up the road, probably as they couldnt get it to start without a key but the Scorpa is gone. This guy has only just come back into trials and helped us mark out last weekends event, the bike is not insured. Please contact me if your offered a 2006 model Scorpa this bike has an in line stat between the cylinder head and radiator which is unusual on a scorpa and the sump guard has been drilled by the water pump and clutch cover, it also has a birkett modified water pump and the rear mudguard is cracked.

Hi all, On wed 29/6/2011 both mine and my dads trials bikes were stolen along with our life times collection of tools in snap on tool box's from the North Staffordshire area. Description: GasGas 321 (1999) - Blue, the tank has been cracked on the right hand side and repaired with that liquid metal stuff and due to this the tank sticker has been re-stuck down with evo stick leaving a clear mark (looks a little bit of a mess around the edges). I have just had my 2010 Beta Evo 250 4T (4 stroke engine) stolen from the front of my house in Banchory, Scotland. Nothing unusual about it, apart from a 10mm hole drilled in the rear mud guard which I used to attach the reg plate. Frame number is ZD3T6020090400110 Any info greatly appreciated!

Right then here's the story, In jan this year I got sent on a 6 week course at marham In Norfolk, as it's I'n the middle of no where and over 1000mile round trip to get home at weekends I decided to take the trials bike and ride with a few mates based In Lincolnshire. My bike has been stolen tonight whilst in process of sale. To cut a long story short, I agreed to deliver the bike to the buyer's address. When I met him there we went through everything like normal, and long and short of it was he rode off down the main road and by time I had spun round the van and given chase he was gone!
