Stolen Bikes

Unfortunately last night, Wednesday the 16th of November, or in the early hours of this morning, Thurs 17th Nov Splatshop was broken into. 2 Sherco trials bikes were taken from our premises, a 2007 Sherco 290 with 2008 plastics and stickers. (Frame no: VNBS129TR6A018036) and a 2011 Sherco 290 (Frame no: VNBS129TR9A023409). The 2011 has white domino grips and a Red number board with number 184, it look pretty immaculate as we had just got it ready for sale. (sorry no pictures of the 2011). My mate crashed, broke both his wrists the other day, the bike was left parked up while he walked about a mile to the nearest house to get help and by the time someone returned to collect his bike it had been stolen. The bike was left at grid reference 164209 on Ordnance Survey Landranger Map (Pink cover) No. 166 Luton & Herford. This lane runs from the top of the Water tower at Whitwell and goes towards Whiteway bottom, it was left at the junction where the lane splits and joins the fast blast across the field down to the lane that leads to Whiteway Bottom itself. Sam Boocock has had his garage cleared by scum in the Shelf area of Halifax. He has lost a brand new Sherco 300 Frame No. VNBS530TRCA026358 ENGINE NO. SH30026358. Also lost a top end CUBE mountain bike and numerous tools. The bike had some extra rim stickers adding which have a WBS logo on to match Nathan Wrigglesworths bike. Guys just to let you know there are bike thieves in the Watford & Hemel area. They are apparently targeting small bikes, including trials bikes. I was lucky the missus thought a door was flapping in the wind & went out to investigate to be confronted by two scroates, one with an iron bar in the garage. She asked what they were doing???!!! & after she tried to lock them in they pushed her out of the way they ran off closely followed by a silly bugger in his pyjamas welding a three foot extension bar. Just lucky the police found me before I found the scroates!!!!

The two bikes were stolen from a garage in High Wycombe over the night of 1st October 2013. Bike details: 1. 1967 250cc Greeves Anglian - silver with red tank. my friends gas gas jtr 160 has been stolen from a lock up container in cumbria last night along with some copper and a trailer , the bike is a 1996 model in yellow and athough i dont have the chassis number at the moment i do know the previous owners so i should be able to get it. it has the usual scars but some of its identificating features are the back fender has been bent back and cracked almost completely across and was repaired with a piece of plate underneath and riveted in place , it also has annodised bar clamps , the stopwatch in the tank plastic is missing , the front brake is rubbish , the engine makes a clicking noise when running like the kicksta…

This might seem like a thick question, I'm looking to upgrade my trusty old Gas Gas and have seen some quite reasonable bikes for sale privately but dont want to spend all my hard earned cash on a bike and find it is stolen, so any ideas on how I can check apart from the obvious like - Check the engine numbers against any paper work the owner may have, ask question on how long they have had it or just walk away if they have no documentation of proof of sale. Would the importer of the model be able to tell me if it was stolen if I was to ring them with the Engine and frame number.

Team Trials UK's Horne family were broken into last night. Dave Horne and family lost their bikes hours before setting off to the next round of the British Championship in Devon. Please keep a look out for - 2013 Sherco 300 No. VNBS529TRCA025809, Husqy junior motocross, KTM junior motocross, Oset 20" Lite, Oset 16R and an Oset 12". The trials bikes had Trials UK special stickers on but the thieves also took the standard Sherco plastics too so the Sherco may be restored to original before being sold. Hi Guys . On the 14/6/2013 my two Beta evo's were stolen from Cookham in Berkshire . One is a 2013. 200cc frame no ZD3T60000C0150214. Engine no ZD3B9T-0910599. And a 2012. 250cc Frame no 202238. Engine no 909383. Both had Raptor pegs , red clutch and brake adjusters, front mudguard raisers , front no boards , they also took a set of Factory alloy billeted footrests in a Raptor black box , Plus my Marin Trail Attack mountain bike in black , with a large inflatable saddle , a small v shape dent on the offside of the rear wheel that gives the wheel a slight buckle . 08 Beta 125 stolen last week near Wakefield. Someone possibly saw it being loaded into a van so could end up anywhere ? Keep an eye out for it at dealers, trials & Flappit near Keighley.
