Hi, I am due to be working at Spruce Meadows near Calgary next week for about seven days. I was wondering if there is anything going on locally that i could watch whilst here.

Hello all, I've got a '77 Bultaco Sherpa T 350. It has a fiberglass tank. I'm concerned with putting ethanol-based gasoline in the tank. I've been told by several people and read that the ethanol dissolves the fiberglass resin causing the tank to weep fuel over time. I've also read online regarding concerns about its solvents. As far as I am able to research, all Ontario pump gas contains at least 10 % ethanol by law. I've got several takes on preventing this but was hoping to gage your opinions on the subject. 1. Pretty disappointed to see that Sherco has changed from Mountain Motorcycles for the Canadian distribution of their motorcycles. Not sure of all of the details as I can't see where Sherco has announced the change, but this is from the TrialsPlus website of Mountain Motorcycle: "Mountain Motorcycle Ltd is no longer importer of the Sherco brand of trials motorcycles for Western Canada. The first two rounds of the 2011 Canadian National Championships, sanctioned by WTC, were completed at Summerland in British Columbia on May 21 & 22, 2011. A total of 65 competitors took part in the weekend's activities, with a third of them from outside of British Columbia, lending a truly national flavour to the two trials. The results leave Thomas Cordner of Victoria, BC in the lead with a margin of just one championship point over Jonathan English of Foxboro, Ontario. Watching the video on the last post made me wonder. What happened to the Terra Nova. My Dad rode the event several times (I think he went for the beer) and I rode it once with my brother. If I remeber correctly it was basicly an enduro on Vancover Island. The event was always on your Thanksgiving. It was about 90 miles each way and started from your property (do you still have the property?). The event was more like one long section. It was very tough. I think I rode the event in around 1984. I know I did not win and was very tired after the first day. But it was the most amazing ride I have ever ridden.

Is there anyone out there that would support the return of a true and balanced Canadian National trials series with the result being Canada sending it's best to the TDN? The rules seem a little cloudy on the subject of team selection but with some lobby work to the CMA (or MMC if they ever get FIM sanctioning) I would like to see if we could make this a reality. This is not meant to start forum for people to vent their spleens at the CMA; but rather to see if people want to see us move forward. Spencer Fitschen

The Squamish round of the CPTA series is in the books. Although attendance was light, I got the feeling that all who ventured up for the event had a great time. Dave Narona has posted numerous pictures from the event that can be viewed at the 99 Trials Facebook site as well as the TrialsPlus Facebook site. Video that he took will also be coming soon. The Joss Mountain ride took place last Sunday August 26th - We had a total of 15 riders, including two former three time Canadian Trials Champions - Stan Bakgaard and Steve Fracy. The Mountain is 7825ft at the Summit and unfortunately we ran into snow - This was the 4th and (maybe) last time for Outlaw Dave to make this difficult trek - it's like a long 35km section to the top.
