how much gear oil is needed and what grade for a 92 climber 280? i have a funny grinding noise from the engine as if the kickstart is being engaged when running. starts and rides perfect so dont think its anything major. was in a bit of a sorry state when i got it. so possibly may just need an oil change. now running it at 50:1 as previous owner told me 70:1 so decided to play on the safe side. any help including a manual would be hugely appreciated. thanks in advance guys

Hi guys i'm new on here and to trials. I've just bought an aprilia 280 climber which to be fair is a great bike but i'm having abit of mither getting the front brake to really lock up properly. It has brand new pads and new dot 4 fluid with brembo lines but it has to be pumped up abit when i first go out on it until it starts working anything like it should. Also when i start the bike and put it in gear, the clutch drags slightly but then eases off as the engine heats up. Sorry for the long winded comment lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

So, I've got this '94 model i'm fixing up and riding a bit... long list so far, but just on the brakes / forks: I've replaced the fork seals and oil, cleaned and buffed the front rotor with 3M scotchbrite pad on an air-tool, replaced the brake pads with pads from the Tryals Shop here in the USA, and replaced all the front brake fluid and vacuum bled the system. Its much better than it was, but it will barely pull the back tire off the ground even when i bounce the rear end and compress the forks. I used to ride stoppies on sportbikes and supermoto, and even did a few on my '05 BMW 1200 GS but almost nothing on this aprilia. Has anyone ever made or mounted a larger…

Whats the best pads for these ? Presently using sintered ones which have no feel and little stopping power, but at least they are consistent ! Any clever tricks to improve it ? Thanks Ross
