Nationals are coming up this weekend in Duluth Aug 22-23. Any tips from the local club putting the event on?? How is the river water level? Low / high? I suppose we should take time to seal up our flywheel covers good. Where are the good places in the area to eat and have a drink to clear the throat after riding? Any other tips or info would be great to here. 5 of us are leaving from Michigan on Wed after work.

Hi all, I am considering a fun trials at my place late in November or early December. Idea is to have a fun (peer scored) event run under the Scottish Gate Trial Format. (You WANT more points - not less!) Original thought was to have it during the first weekend of Dec, but that will conflict with the AMA D-14 Annual Meeting (which I need to attend) So other possible dates are as follows: Nov 21 Sat Nov 22 Sun Nov 29 Sun Dec 12 Sat Dec 13 Sun PLEASE CHIME IN HERE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COMING- SO I CAN PICK THE BEST DATE FOR EVERYONE! I realize there will be hunting and possible holiday conflicts, and as we go later in Dec. more cold weather issues. …

May 16th this summer will be our first Bent Fenders trials of 2010. We have a lot to live upto to tie the Michiana event but we are really excited about trying an actuall vintage class. We will have a vintage A and vintage b class with a first place trophy for each. Vintage A will ride INT and vintage b will ride Nov. We also have a beginer class in Mota so this wont be a cake walk but we are determined to keep every metal tank orginal and every rider out of an ambulance. What is vintage you ask. We are calling that anything before built before 1990. Thats a huge range of bikes mono shock included. As always this is a party so try to stick around afterwards for some good…

Mota riders! Well I have been thinking (ut oh) and thinking and thinking about the Bentfenders trials. We have laid out a couple of sections. We have ridden the poo out of them. We tweeked we consulted. We tweeked some more. We ran out of tape. We used some other tape. We mowed. Then we went out and rode some more. We are looking forward to a fun event. Experts, bring a fresh tire if possible. Hills like you have not seen in michigan. Twist and go. Biff cleaned them you should too. Advance We know some of you are new we know some are returning. Zippy made sure you are all going to have fun. we both want to clear the log section but a 1 is very respectable. Sportsman…

MOTA (Michigan-Ontario Trials Association) next event is being put on by the Bent Fenders club May 3rd. Bent Fender trials info. The club property is a bit on the small side, but this makes it VERY spectator Friendly. We also try our best to utilize what land we have to make a loop that reduces lines.

As I understand it we are getting to ride on the other side of the property for this one! Who will be the last place expert????? Will Mike come out of hunting season to beat me???? Will Biff come in costume??? (you bet your a$$) Will it snow? Can Brockaway figure out a way to not use those roley poley rocks??? Can zippy go a whole loop with out texting his wife? Can we get Cap and Keener to move up? Will I break another shift lever? Will Mitchell bend his knees? Will my exhaust catch on fire? (probably) So many questions. Only time will tell... Come on out to Vermontville and check out all of the suspense and action!!!!! Season closer!!!! Very easy loop for those who …

Hey- I actually will have the Sherco done by next week! During that long dry spell I also picked up some new adjoining property. Lot's of very cool stuff to ride- rocks, logs, off cambers, water crossings. Most has never been ridden- but there are some existing sections. New sections invlove some clearing but lots of stuff that is ready to ride. The rock hill has only been ridden off camber/sidehill- no one with enough **** to try riding up it...yet. Joey where are you? If the water drops in my pond we'll have more sections, but lots of rain this summer has kept some of the sections under water all year. Thinking about Saturday Sept 5. MOTA guys chime and let me know if…

Is there any chance that a vintage line could be added in the MOTA rounds for the 2010 season? Looks like we have at least 5 twinshock/vintage bikes that I regularly see at events and this seems like enough for a class. I think that you just use the novice line and put nov or vin on the plate and score them against each other.

Even though I can't be in Flint the upcoming weekend, I wish the Bent Fenders club good weather (I'm trying to keep the rain on this side of the pond...) and a lot of fun for setting up the event! Oh, and if you need another checker, maybe we can do something like online-checking... webcam and I'll check from Europe just kidding, but I wish all of you an awesome weekend!!
