What types of gear oil are people using in their Gas Gas Pros? I have recently bought a 2003 250 Pro which has 2004 clutch plates in it, I am using Silkolene light gear oil (10w40) and the clutch is dragging. I have bled the clutch but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Son has an 02 250 Pro and he was out on it today. Started warm engine and selected first gear.No problem. Let out the clutch and pulled away and there was a "strange Noise" then it jumped out of gear. He selected nuetral and restarted engine. No noise till he selected first again and again it jumped out. Pushed it back to the van. Anyone experienced this before i start stripping it down?

Just had an 05 250 pro on test for a day. It's a totally different bike to my 02 pro. Those tapered wall bars are amazing and the exhaust sounds fantastic and it has altered the power delivery completely. The air filter/seat unit comes on and off in a trice and the carb comes out without having to remove filter housing. The new forks are so smooth and work fantastically. Thanks lads for keeping all this a secret from me!

My son and I have decided to start trial riding and have bought a gasgas jt25 250 which i'm very pleased with so far. This may seem like a silly question but is there any form of owners manual or workshop manual anywhere for this bike? I've read somewhere about an owners video or is this just for newer bikes?

Can anybody help? I am struggling to find an optimum solution for my clutch lever position, due to the fact I suffer from having large hands (no jokes please) and a small amount of clutch drag which is now starting to effect the quality of my riding. I have tried several types/leading brands of engine oil and am currently running Motul 300V Factory line as prescribed by the holy of holiest "Al the Spanner". I have a 2005 250 Gasser and need to know if I need to start checking the depths of that sweet little engine!!!! A most concerned trials novice!!!

Well that got your attention... I had a nice trip down to Devon last week and stayed at the Bikers Rest. Had a great time with the 20 acres of so of wood and streams. Highly recommended. I met some other bikers down there and one was on a 03 Beta. We swapped bikes (I have a 01 280 GG). The first thing that grabbed my attention was the power delivery, it was so smooth compared to my 280. Not necessarily better, but very different. The next thing was the rear suspension. It felt soft, smooth and wonderful. Any ideas as to why the Beta rear suspension felt so much better than the GG. best wishes, Rob.

Just been to the show at Stoneliegh for a nosey at all the goodies and kinda fell in love with the new Pro 200! However I am a bit disapointed that they dont come equiped with the same new forks, clamps and bars as the bigger 250, 280, 300! Does anyone know if it is possible to get one with these trick bits on ? The other option is to look at the 250 then dress it in yellow?

it's a sad thing, but the time has come. When i first saw my GG PRO, it was love at first sight and things were great for the first 2 months, but then the honeymoon ended. all i asked of her was to work with me 1-2 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week. in return, i kept her coolant level where it should be, fuel and oil as much as she required (little did know that she was an clutch drag addict, i learned that much later).but at every opportunity, she would get hot under the collar and i would have to stop what i was doing until i could cool her off. i didn't know that she was born with a life threatening breathing problem, but after her major surgery (top end job) i did all i …

I have a 97 GasGas 320 that needed a new top end. We got as far as pulling the jug off and ordering parts, well we accidently got antifreeze in the bottom end and where unaware that this would turn to cement. Evidently antifreeze and synthetic oil does weird things when it mixes. So, what should I do? Will we have to split the case or can I fill the crank case with some kind of solution to free things up? We wondered about mineral spirits, deisal fuel or somthing, Anybody got any Ideas? sam
