I believe the carb on my 72 OSSA is a Makuni (VM26) . Cleaned the carb completely and for the most part the bike runs pretty good with the exception of a sticking throttle and good idle some times not good other times. The throttle linkage isn't new but seems to work real well. Most of the time the linkage works freely and I can hear the slide shut but sometimes it gets stickty. Is it possible that my internal carb spring is too weak? Just in case it matters for some reason, I am not able to get the the adjusting screw that moves the slide to make much difference no matter where it is located. My kick start works fine going down but struggles to return. It’s like the case seal has swollen up and is tight on the shaft? Any ideas what I should order in advance before removing the clutch case and investigating deeper?

Went out riding on Saturday and my 2012 ossa wouldn't start at all, checked the plug and it was bone dry, checked a few connections around the plug and tried again and it fired into life. could this be the start of a fuel pump problem I ve heard of people having problems but not sure of the symptoms jsp

Well, me idiot forgot to connect the rectifier after I installed the stock exhaust (me old Termi needs some carbon fibre repair). Basically I rode 2-3 hours without cooling and voltage control! ECU should be fryed (overload), engine should be seized (from excessive heat), but NO, the 2013 very-high compression headed OSSA TR280i thing kept going and going without blinking! I thought it's running a bit strange, and after a very hard core section I noticed vapour fog coming from below the engine (coolant vent) and noticed there's no fan action. I've broken the original plug cap on my ossa, swapped to a normal ngk rubber one, does this make any difference, as the crap starting is even more crap!! Tried iridium plug and lithium battery, waste of time!! The button for the easy start might as well be effect only as it makes not a jot of difference. Hi, just bought a 2011 tr280i and want to mount lights and ossa dash... Have the original ossa dash (trailtech vapor with ossa logo) with 4 wires coming out. Dash works with CR2032 battery. Dash shows actual RPM (through labeled tach lead) when bike is running Power lead does not seem to work (14 volt from bike / dash backlight should be brighter when running ?) Two leads have no label : A 2 wire plug (this is to speedo sensor ?) A 4 wire ( 2 pins in the middle assigned from dash ) this is temp sensor. From the OSSA bike comes a 4 wire connector with 1 pin assigned (brown cable). It measures between 5 and 1 volt (drops when temp rises) between brown…

Hi think i found a clear protector for my carbon termignoni the sides were wearing and turning grey. I bought this stuff about fifteen years ago and still had it laying around so i tryed a small spot first a light scuff with 300 grit. Then brushed it on let it dry over night wow you couldn't tell it was worn. The heat dosnt bother it leaves a hard finish. If and when it wears add another coat. ?

Anyone have good solutions for a spark arrestor on a Termi? The exhaust doesn't stick out- but the inner (toward center of bike) part is flush. So the type I have won't fit. I suppose I can fabricate a pipe that will go inside the Termi exit and inside the arrestor. (The arrestor I use fits right on the standard exhaust) But I' like to hear if anyone has a better solution. Mark

I have a little 'burble' at very small throttle openings I only have ever had if the play was really knackered or the TPS needed reset. (Runs great everywhere else and mixture appears great on the plug- running SSDT Hard map) So I decided it would be a good time to just check everything anyway ((290 hours). Reeds good, new sparking plug Idle right, TPS set to .6V and set to EC Air filter clean Cleaned sensor in lower airbox I did see a little corrosion on the ECU connections (dang it!). Hi all I guess this has been asked before I love the green colour of my Tr77 however the side panels are in pretty poor condition so I was thinking about replacing with pattern part's any help on the nearest to factory green would be appreciated, I'm leaving the tank as it's got some nice age related marks And the plan is just to clean it And then clear coat.. just been washing my bike from Sunday and while I was checking it over with the engine running, the fan didn't come on. Is there any way of bypassing the thermostat before I spend money?

I'm pretty new to trials and fancy a newer bike. I really wanted a 4 stroke Beta but I just can't find one. I'm now looking at 2 strokes again. I've come across a 2013 TR280i but know nothing about them. I wouldn't even know how to identify it as a 2013 model? What's a good price for one of these and what should I be looking out for? I'm thinking of buying a 300 factory its listed as a 2014 but after a bit of reading am sure its a 2013 by the forks and calipers. Can you tell by the frame numbers? Anything I need to check apart from the usual things to look for on a trials bike? Will the 2013 bike have the easy start kit fitted? Is the data cable, software and maps readily available at a reasonable price? I currently have a 2004 Beta rev3 and have only been riding for fun just over a year. If I find the 300 a bit much can it be easily tamed with a slow throttle and flywheel weight? Thanks in advance.
