Hello, I have just purchased a 2 stage throttle body with all appropriate ECU cableing and instillation disk. However, i am unable to install the disk due to compatability issues with windows 7 64x. I have tried all compatability settings and it fails to install everytime. Someone out there must be using this software in windows 7 64x. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi guys, been riding a while now but always on a 2 stroke, iv now decided on getting a 4 stroke in the way of a 4rt 2006 model. Just wondering first of all what are the main differences in performance between the 06 and new models? Also is there anything i should keep an eye on any more than i would on my sherco for example. Hi I have been playing with and looking at various different maps for my 07 2map repsol . I have made some what I feel great improvements over the std maps the bike came with My profession is engine management upgrades so I have no problem understanding what im doing and what im trying to attain , I noticed they seem to run quite rich and the timing curves are very basic , I have the HRC software but find it easier to import to our own tuning tool , as im not governed buy the hrc software (set limits). So far I have had it hooked up to wideband and detonation-cans and took ft-lb readings and snap response data from our dyno. So my question is , anyone doing / done …

I've had my 4rt for 2 months now and think it's absolutely fantastic, but I'm now having my first problem in the shape of a misfire when I open the throttle looking for a bit of power when climbing or getting up a step etc. Basically what happens is, I open the throttle and at low revs / low throttle openings the engine is OK, anything more than 1/4 throttle or so, then I get a misfire which feels like the engine is dying and then it comes back in with a bang (a bit like a 2-stroke when it '4-strokes', or like a bike with a warm engine and the choke partly on). Just bought a 2007 4RT It's in totally standard form, when I purchased it. Having had a 2005 and 2006 4RT, can anyone tell me the definitive differences between the earlier 4RT's and the later 2007 bikes Silencer looks different and it's definitely quieter I've read that the clutch is better, is this true? It feels good, but my earlier 4RT's both had the larger 315 clutch master cyinder and I found them ok Any other significant differences? I've heard the 2007 bike had a different cam Anyone with a 2007 4RT - Do you like it??

Hi Treated myself to a repsol 4RT So far I love it , real solid and feels good . Just wanted to ask if the high idle is normal , as the previous owner said not to adjust it down as it will not start correctly ? Is there anything to watch out for ? or any thing i should do differently from my 2T , other than the obvious ? I also want to get the serial prog lead and software ?, I map VAG cars for a living so really interested to see if I can improve on what's there. I have looked over the manual but see nothing relating the the above ,also is there also a way to reset the throttle body or ecu ? Thanks in advance . James

Hi, Does anyone know where in the UK that might stock or be able to order the 2007 RTL250F plastics. They are similar to the Fujigas Rep ones in white. Just fancy having something a bit different. Got me stumped this one Starts first kick, will tickover for ages. Will rev up if throttle opened slowly. Snap throttle open to full throttle and it sounds Luke it's going to die but keeps running .Knock throttle off and it ticks over again I have put new plug in, cleaned out internals of throttle body, plenty of fuel, clean air filter Any ideas

Hi I have a 2008 4rt it is my second 4rt and love the bike. I have the upgraded the spring as I am 5ft 10 and 13 stone. In the last six weeks I have replaced the gear lever, gear lever shaft and the rear brake lever twice. I never had this problem with my last 2005 4rt. The bike does not look to be any lower then any other 4rt and while I am riding harder sections the levers seem to be getting caught on every rock I ride past even outside the sections where I have ridden my old 4rt with no problem. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks Trevor

just pondering over the thought of a new 08 4rt has any heard any news of them yet, someone was telling me that he had heard there would be major changes made to the frame ie sizes and widths. cant make my mind up though 08 4rt or 08 rev 4 ? what do you think. jsp

Sorry i didnt post this yesterday. Saw the new 4RT at the Dirt Bike show on sunday. What a poor effort by Montesa!!!! They havent finished the bike - its like a half effort... See the Gas Gas's - all nicely co-ordinated red and black - look fab IMHO. Someones spent time getting it right. Then see the half baked 4RT... they must have spent 2 mins thinking it through... "lets paint the frame shiny black... then do f**k all else to blend the frame in".. jeez what an ugly bike. To all: I hear no 2008 Montesa's in the US? True?

Got a mate, with a few problems with his bike and wondering if anyone can help me, to help him My Montesa 4RT will start but won't run. Once started it runs for only a couple of seconds then stops. It will re-start but same thing again. Bike has recently had a brand new stator, new throttle body and condenser. I've tried new plug, all connections etc. Anyone ever had this before or suggest what to check next. Thanks

I'm doing this as a favor for my pops, he used to ride back in the late 70's, still has his old bultaco and sherpa t. I did my own dabbling in bike trials for about 10 years. Anyway were trying to get our hands on the horsepower specs for the 2009 montesa line. Can anyone help? Thanks, Blaine

Hi, Does anyone know where I can find one of the above please, or download ? bought the bike on Friday , but the shop could not find the manual.. Contacted Sandifordsi but they was not that helpful and said they only get one per bike, so was unable to help..All help appreciated. Regards Dougie
