My tank leaks very slowly at the bottom, wondering where I can find a suitable replacement, it isn't listed separately in the parts manual. I see the newer cotas use two o-rings but I don't think I'm that lucky.

Hello, Are there companies making a racing wire loom? I know future used to make a very minimalistic wire loom for 4rt's but they are no longer doing that ? What can be taken off the bike ? i have seen some monts where a lot of those rubber tubes and catch tank and other stuff have been taken off so you get some space to work on the engine . I have seen smaller HT coils and smaller condensors beeing used to

Good morning. I'm sorry if something is not understood well since you are using a translator. I wanted to ask, my 301 has come with all the electrical installation and homologation kit installed. I'm removing everything that's left over. The motorcycle comes with a lot of electrical installations and looking at the manual that was dismantled, there are two installations that I could theoretically eliminate since they are for elements of the approved version. specifically parts 28 and 29. Has anyone removed them? is it complicated? Extracting the deposit I am not able to differentiate them from the main installation.

The manual shows 15 hours as the oil/ filter change interval for a 2018 300. That sounds like an MX bike. Meanwhile, the Beta 4T manual shows 40 hours. What interval are people using?

Looking to service a 315r which runs great, anything I should be looking out for or giving special attention? And how do you figure out what year they are? Any manuals for the bike would be useful. Any pointers for coolant, gearbox oil and brake/clutch fluid (dot 4?). How often should the steering head and suspension pivots be stripped and regreased?

Hi, I have a NOS exhaust pipe for a Montesa. I bought it for my rebuild (1979 Cota 349), however, when I came to fit it, it wasn't right. The part number on the expansion is: 2180 03803 or 08808 (photos attached). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

My well used and abused 2006 bike is ready for full engine rebuild. Con rod, piston, cylinder, cam chain and head work. The con rod is straight from a CRF 250 and will have to be aftermarket as a genuine Honda part is only available as a full crank set ££££ The piston, cylinder etc are fairly straight forward, but I’ve never delved in to a cylinder head. I’m presuming valves will be need to be replaced and the seats re cutting and profiling which I will be getting someone else to do as I don’t have the tools to do them, whilst the head is off and stripped I thought I’d get it gas flowed. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? After reading the servic…

Does anyhone know anything about the 2025 4ride? I have a '16 that i absolutely love, and fancy treating myself to a brand new one. A few UK dealers don't have any 2024's left in stock, and they are waiting for the '25 model. I've no idea what (if anything) has changed.

I have a new Montesa Repsol which is losing 100ml of transmission oil per ride from the clutch/gearbox into the engine oil. I’ve drained and measured the oil levels to confirm this is happening. I know it’s a warranty issue but I live hours away from the dealer and I’m looking for a fix to keep riding. Does anyone have experience with this? I’m thinking it’s a faulty crankshaft seal?

I have a 2018 300 with black throttle tube. It looks just like the 2T throttle. Is a slower one available? I have a 2016 Beta 300 4T standard model and the throttle has much more resolution for small blips, maybe 100% more resolution that makes throttle control much easier.

Evening all, Looking for some advice / images on how to clean up and strip out some electrical excess bits from my new Mont. There are various forum comments and suggestion online on switching some bits out, but I can't find a simple/conclusive summary? From what I can tell: - Remove catch can (not sure on what to do with the vent hoses) - Remove Bank Angle Sensor - Smaller Condenser - Carbon reg rec bracket - Consolidate earth wires? If anyone has any pictures or clear instructions, would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Scott

I got out for a ride on a new to me 4RT and it is quite different from my Beta 300 4t. This is a 300RR version, 2018. Power is much sharper than the Beta but it seems like power is cut much quicker than on the Beta. The front wheel really slams down on the backside of logs, even a small 10 inch diameter log.. I tend to double blip most any obstacle. I'll do a second blip when the tire is on the front of the log or on top, chop the throttle, bikes roll over and set the front end down. This 4RT just drops the front wheel like a rock hitting the ground pretty hard on the back side. I'm wondering if this is the way fuel injection works or could it be something else. …

Just dug out of my garage and cleaned after 20 years. Also now registered on its original plate. Only problem is the standard unleaded petrol is making the fibreglass tank go sticky inside. Anyone know if Shell premium without ethanol stops this or has anybody tried the Aspen alkaline petrol in motorbikes. They sell it at our lawnmower shop either for 4 strokes or pre mixed 50:1. Only snag £18 for 5 litres. I'm not sure whether to line the tank and I've heard about people having nightmares with the coating failing. Someone also said to try and get hold of aviation fuel but I've no idea who'll sell that to me?

Hoping someone can help me find a front exhaust pipe for my Cota 248. it came as a box of bits and I have gradually rebuild it from the ground up. The original 21M engine had a missing RH case so I rebuilt and fitted a 51M 349 engine. Just dropped the rebuilt engine into the frame and discovered the 248 front pipe will not fit the 349 barrel. The port stud spacing and port bore are all the same but on the 349 barrel the exhaust port is more recessed and at a different angle to the 248 barrel. I am told that the correct part number for the exhaust I need is 5160038-02. I have tried my usual suppliers (InMotion, Cycles Avent) but they can't supply either new or used. …

Since I wasn't careful enough during dismantling, I am not sure whether Cushion arm plates are in right position or I have turned it upside down. It can't be determined from the photos in the Owners Manual..
