Hello, on the 17th of April a friendly side-car trial will take place on a spot known by the 4 days trial riders. The best 15 French and Belgium teams are taking part and we would be glad to welcome some British teams also. If someone is interested, please contact me. Best regards. Luclim

Following on from another thread, my club here in the best part of the Dordogne , near to Sarlat are organizing a classic Pre 65 / Twinshock trialing day 1st May. Anybody on holiday from the Uk able to fit and load up the bike rack without other halfs noticing and also any Spanish chums who would like and fancy a real good day in the French countryside you are welcome to come along. Twenty sections over a Saturday afternoon and Sunday, as many laps as you fancy. There will be a very modest entry, fish and chip van on the day and if numbers allow a Saturday evening meal to help empty the French wine lake. If you need any further details emai me l Hamish.eadie@gmail…

Just thought I´d get this forum space started by inquiring if there are any locals close to me, near Manresa, that fancy letting a near novice into their ranks or are located near here. I often transport the bike up to Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, closer to the Pyrénées for the ultimate trial runs. Beautiful routes, with a beautiful backdrop. Rutes bonic, …

  5. Out of interest if anybody would like to see the runners and riders for this trial they are published on the French Classic trials site. Forum Trial En Ancienne. Scroll to Manifestations and look for the Saint Feliu thread. Few Brits making the trip.. safe journey . This trial goes from strenght to strenght.

  6. It remains a little place near Liège in Belgium where people can still do a little trial ... Without causing any ecological damages or neighborhood disorder ! Of course, some "neo-ecologists" attempt to classify the area as "Natura 2000" (protected area of ecological interest) You can appreciate the "ecological interest" of this place which was laid out and cleared of rubbish by people who took care : If you can help, sign the petition to show your opposition here : https://www.lapetiti...ment-12385.html Thank you for them.

I'm planning an event in Bulgaria to present our sport to the Motorcycle Federation here as their introduction to observed trials, which, as yet, doesn't exist here as a discipline! If any riders are interested in participating or contributing in any way I'd be really happy to hear from them! Rob . TrialsBulgaria

  9. Known for aircooled models , in an almost last gasp of breath both Mecatecno and Merlin produced prototype water cooled trials bikes , desperately trying to keep up with the machine evolution . Only brief recollections of the Merlin prototype is recorded anywhere . Practically nothing was written, all was forgotten and the whereabouts of the bikes were completely unknown. Then a friend and avid collector in Spain stumbled across them both in the space of 1 year......and has added them both to his collection. Since then he's researched them both a little more. When i was down there recently i had to visit them for photos and learn their story. Here it is , …

Apparently Luxembourg is allowing roll backs as long as feet is off the ground. 2 min time limits and stops with foot down is still a point. Belgium is allowing stops as well even though they really tried the no stop thing last year. Hrmmmm have the people spoken? --Biff

I've been enduro riding in the area around Alhaurain El Grande with ORO and know the terrain is incredible but does anyone know about the local trials scene, clubs, events etc. Cheers Dom

  13. Started by metisse,

Speaking to some chums yesterday, the word is that this might be the last ever trial held there. Apparently there are Mayorial elections next year, and there is a new candidate, who if elected wants to turn this whole area into a natural park. Result, no motobikes... So, whilst not set in stone, anybody who has always wanted to ride or its on a bucket list, I suggest when the entries come out later in the summer, to do it. There is a previous thread on what you need to do and how your bike needs to be... will be a real shame if it goes its the best two day twinshock / Pre 65 in France.

Looking for someone to be the third member of three man team riding in this years trial riding the Expert class. If you have ever fancied riding in the event, but cannot get a team together please email me via the site. The trial , a national is not really hard, so would suit someone used to this type of event who rides regulary.

I would like to know if I could ride trials in Italy using an ACU international trials licence, or is that only for international events? It seems an Italian trials licence is the same as a mx and enduro licence and would be a lot for perhaps one or two events. Thanks in advance.

The recent classic trial at Rochepaule, France, attracted an entry of over 100 riders, the trial was held over 55 kms of interzone, and had 16 sections, 10 in the morning and 6 in the afternoon. When I mentioned at the weekend it seemed rather too little section action and not for me, I was met with a little gailic backlash. So would competitors on here, be happy with a trial with only 16 sections, would you travel up to 200 miles for this, or am thinking this is the slippery slope. .
