Ok it's a long drive unless you have a friend in Spain to lend you a bike. But I rode the 2 Days Trial Encamp last weekend, fantastic trial, really recommend it. Single lap each day of 20 sections, yes that's not that many but it takes around 7 hours each day as it's a long way round. If you have ever ski ed in Andorra the first day is based on the ski slopes of Soldeu and Pas de la Casa. To make the trip worthwhile contact Sandra Bonet, this lady provides accomodation a few km from the start and also does trials excursions. So you could do a few days practice / trail riding in the pyrenees followed by the trial.

www.ventoux-trial-classic.com The entries are now open for this trial. For information on what you need to do and organise to do this, look on the thread below Mont ventoux 2015. Excellent trial, hope to see some of Brits that came last year, again this year.

  5. Known for aircooled models , in an almost last gasp of breath both Mecatecno and Merlin produced prototype water cooled trials bikes , desperately trying to keep up with the machine evolution . Only brief recollections of the Merlin prototype is recorded anywhere . Practically nothing was written, all was forgotten and the whereabouts of the bikes were completely unknown. Then a friend and avid collector in Spain stumbled across them both in the space of 1 year......and has added them both to his collection. Since then he's researched them both a little more. When i was down there recently i had to visit them for photos and learn their story. Here it is , …

Just had the reg's drop through the door for Joel Corroy's trial at Arbecey. Two days 20/21 st August. Anybody thinking of a little trip across the channel or can take it in whilst on holiday, its well worth it. Four routes 100 km of interzone with 30 sections per day. Camping on site. Saturday night evening meal with accompanying rock band.. Joel really knows his stuff and his trial is excellent, up there with the best trials to do.... in France... See you there..

Twenty sections over a Saturday afternoon and Sunday, as many laps as you fancy. There will be a very modest entry, fish and chip van on the day and if numbers allow a Saturday evening meal to help empty the French wine lake. Calling anyone living and riding in France! Hopefully moving to France permanently next year, can anyone please tell me what the process and cost of getting a french trials licence is? Whilst I'm asking, my bike is UK registered, but SWMBO's 125 isn't (she also doesn't have a full UK bike licence)..... Do I have to reregister them in France to be allowed to ride and does SWMBO have to take her full bike test? Thanks in advance

Entries are now open for the above event which is based in the Italian ski resort of Bormio. Sections are ok but the run round the Alps each day is absolutely fantastic. Stick Tre Giorni Valtellina into Google for the regs and get yourself there. Lots of video footage from previous years on YouTube

Enduro might be a little offtopic for this forum, so I will only ask about trials I am looking for a trials school, preferably in Spain, I am total novice to trials and would like to start with some experienced teacher, I am looking for a place where I could go for a week or two to learn the basics. My goal is to improve my enduro skills. I searched google and have not found much information, I hope someone here might have more information, thank you

Anybody looking to do a very good classic trial should consider the Joel Correy organised trial at Arbercy 22--23 August. Two day trial, 60 sections and around 25 miles of interzone. Meals and rock band organised for the Saturday night. There will be four routes ( Three usually for pre 65 ) and having done this trial before its excellent. Contact Joel at Trail 70 Vesoul for further details and entries ..

Apparently Luxembourg is allowing roll backs as long as feet is off the ground. 2 min time limits and stops with foot down is still a point. Belgium is allowing stops as well even though they really tried the no stop thing last year. Hrmmmm have the people spoken? --Biff

Hello all. Off to Barcelona on Thursday for a few days to take in the sights and the indoor trial on Sunday. A few questions: is there an enduro round on earlier in the evening? Are there any sights to see in general and places to visit (especially for trials related stuff, museams, bike shops etc?) Cheers
