If you want a 4t that starts the montesa/honda is the one, never fails.
my friends 4t beta seems good but has thrown the odd wobbler .
Its got to be time for electric start on 4ts .
As for 2ts holding there money better i dont think so not in england anyway
-
Why do you need to know how fast you are going on a pre 65 trialer?????
If you need to know how far you have gone get gps on your phone..
-
A 4T IS HARD TO START ,Fact some have it sorted eg honda some havn't eg sherco , I cant belive after all the problems when the bike came out it is still an issue.
The sherco 4t nearly stopped me trialing for ever, if it hadnt been for an understanding wife lending me 4k for a bike that worked it would have been it,
I will never have a sherco again
-
Lee with all the bits and bobs you got around dont suppose you have a frame with a uk v5, doesnt matter if you have cut it up????
-
I use 10 /40 and mine slips like you know what..
Is the clutch centre adjusted corectly ?? if so check you have no warped plates
-

-
Hello carl ,the monty would still be pretty good fun too.
Some of the old boys on this site will answer any questions you could possibly ask, never ceases to amaze me.. Dixie

A chap was at the Exmoor on a 360 james, did they exist ??
Sounded really crisp. is it a griphon scrambler head ???
I need to know all about it , I could never be a rich man , i spend it in my head before i ever get it
-
What a good couple of days that was.
Really nice to see at least ten fantics in a trial again.
I need a day off to recover.
Best of all it didn't rain
-
Goy mine brand new in 84 here in the uk
-
Oh and buy the way the fantic obssetion just gets worse, you will catch the enduro bike strain soon , that will open a whole new world of desire
-
I had one of them got it brand new for
-
HMM bet raga or cabi are on stock bikes then NOT!!!!!!
-
You ride the bike that earns you most money
Why would the uk pay top wack for a rider when they are indoor and outdoor champs????
Bet any money gas gas would pay a fortune for that
-
Got it all apart, its the kickstart idler gear on the counter shaft .
just waiting for parts, the fun will start when i put it back together
-
was speaking to one of the wessex regulars at the weekend he has a 300 owned from new , i also thought it might suit my god like athleatic frame.
umm
-
Have i missed something or are there very few 300 fantics about???
Cant remember anything to weird about them or did i miss it ,why dont you see them out and about?????
-
My god if mr honda made some rtl s or rs 250 he would sell a load they go for stupid money
With the ossa they were good bikes but you could't get the spares . if they made the gripper not the mar they could be on to something,
british champs last week under 40 starters, club twinshock or classic trial regularly over 100 do the maths
-
My mates tlr 200 had a spot of bother at the exmoor trial last sunday.
The kick start seemed to seize , after rocking the bike it all looked ok then when the bike started it sounded as though the starter dog was still partially engaged (heavy metalic rattle corrisponding to engine revs),
After partial strip yesterday it has become apparent that to get to the starter gear the motor will require a total strip.
ANY ADVICE would be greatly appreciated, hopefully a magic quick fix , but i think its all got to come apart
-
Allready most of the way down, but i have got a ride.
Cant wait never had the time for the full three days before, but this year i have, lee if you are bringing spare bikes have you got a minder aswell.
Hope my 240 makes all three days, its going well at the moment ,allways a bad sign
-
I was tired of looking at the words moto guzzi too , nearly as bad as looking at a moto guzzi , BUT no way as bad as actually riding one .
-
One other thing ,dont know how you ride ,but fitting the twin map ignition did wonders to mine
It was a bit hard finding grip when i first started riding it but after fitting the twin map it was fantastic.
I had mine set mild and wild.
-
No way andy i knew if i went fishing i would catch someone ,
The more the merrier .
I could have put money on someone with a gas gas repling..
TONI BOU fourstroke all the way ,albert 4 stroke and adam raga 2 stroke last place
-
Its obvious by the lack of topics in this forum that nothing goes wrong with fourstrokes.
Or am i wrong ????
