i gave up waiting for the 05,and got the sherco instead(worst and most expensive mistake of my trials life)
and again in 06 had to wait till 25th march,
you may see a few pictures and the odd dealer bike in november,but that is about all,i am sure the wait will be worth it

No one has mentioned castrol 747
it smells like castriol R but it is a bit expensive
i use it in all my twostrokes,but my trialer is now a fourbanger,no more mixing,yippey.
lots of old boys used to ask what oil i was burning,nostalgia in a bottle

i have the dave cooper 4x4 rack on a vitara,but it was on our old 413 suzuki(the wifes cars as i cant drive,or ride for that matter)
so i am sure it will fit a jimmny.
the only problem i have had in about 12 years is a couple sets of bolts have sheared off,now i keep a spare set in my tool kit,they luckily seem to go one at a time,so had no real dissasters,fingers crossed,or in your case barry stumps crossed.

only realised after reading tmx on friday that you had to pay for the test day,
i knew the yorkies where a bit tight but WHAT,
bvm in the southwest do a test day with most manufacturers in attendance(even montesa),and you dont pay a penny,good on you BVM.
if you want to sell bikes you have to put a bit back,come on monty uk,
did you people who paid a tenner get a hat or t shirt,or food? that may have been where the money went.
oh and buy the way i do ride a 4rt.

i thougt it was flat with no rocks,
ask steve saunders how he got on in his last trial,on the fourstroke, he won the experts by 66 marks,
how many marks did you win by spud????????

I know mr saunders is good in the mud.
he droped 10 on the 4 bang beta,the next best expert was on 76,
now that is still impresive.no mater what bike/ rider/conditions/luck,or whatever doupters think
fourstrokes are here to stay(till the electric trialers come along)

The replacement rad is the way to go..
But if you are on a real tight budget,clean the rad with an alcahol wipe from a first aid kit and run a bead of araldite round it(this was a emergency repair tecnique on military helicopters)it will flow into the crack then when dry you can paint it.

does anyone do a rear sub frame or complete light weight slimline frame for royal enfeilds,
or more importantly indian enfeilds?????
i am more than happy with the mods i have done allready, but did not want to start fabricating a whole rear end if one is available..

i am using jitsie filters aswell but with the screen,but its a pain to clean the screen aswell,the oil seems to harden off on the mesh,i will try them without the mesh.

i do like the look of the beta,and was allways happy with the build quality of mine(had three in a row)

did hear that rumor from a certain bearded british classic champion from your kneck of the woods,the one who is also pretty tidy on his scorpa.
seemed a bit extream but entirly belevable.
i wish i had been in a position to keep my sherco as a future project but i had a kitchen to finish.
after your help the sherco was 99% sorted but not quite.
the monty is no way as good motor wise but its got the build quality and reliability,and i am starting to get used to it.

good move buying the monty
talon do a 9 tooth front sprocket, fit it and leave the standard rear.
i use putoline lube they do a straight 75 weight,it works fine for me and its half the price of motul,
as for the end cap put it back in,it will stop the noise and seems to soften the power

there has been a big run on people in gas gas vans buying old bird cages
and pots and pans to melt down to make them
not a single strimmer left on the diy shop shelves either!!!

i have said all along the sherco motor when it runs is fantastic
more power and more of a fourstroke feel,i won a few trials on mine in the wet,but and it is a real big but it kept letting me down.
i had mine for just under a year and did all the mod s and fitted the factory kit,they all improved the starting,it was never an issue from cold,only when hot and verry occasionally,
for trail riding or plaing it would be a wonderfull bike,but when you are on the last lap of a five hour trial in the bottom of a ditch and it decided to play silly buggers,well suffice to say i will never own a sherco again.
like you say r click you never had problems,i think you may be holding back from brand loyalty,if there was no problem why did the factory spend a fortune fixing it???? in the uk there where no 06 and now no 07 4t s
again this is my experience,and the few people i know,who owned 4t s with the exeption of re500,he has done wonders with his but it is rummored he has rebuilt the engine seven times and changed the carb and whole ignition system
big bucks..
all i want is a bike to ride trials on not develope

is that aussi spec or do we get them in the uk?
if so how much?

you may SEE some 4t shercos in 07
and yes they will be quieter than the montys
because no one will be able to start the dam things
