atom i have a 4rt now and after 8 months am really starting to enjoy riding it you cant retire atom,i bought mine on the plastic, the missus has still not forgiven me,if you dont want to take it to seriously try one of the 175 scorpas its a fab bike,and no pressure on.

I think it has been the spanish indoor champs for a few years now the spaniards ride the same sections week in week out,so they are tuned in to the sections, when you get a non champs invitational trial it throws the results open,and lets face it not many people have the facility or ability to ride indoors,so you have to treat an indoor as what it is a really entertaining show and not put to much importance on who wins

dude dont waste your money on the sherco,no matter what you read it does not start reliably. far better just go with the monty,its the safe opption. alloy frames look better longer,the bike is well put together. i lost the equivilent of $5000 in seven trials on my 320,when it was going it was fine,but if it decided not to start you have to pack up and go home. however i have been riding the 4rt for eight months and touch wood it has been brilliant ,not a hint of trouble

only saw the enduro one at stoneleigh, but ive got one of them in the garage,and you are right it is a sweet little bike(but i am still waiting for my 80cc big bore kit,on order from italy so i might see it next year.) the caballero is a bit of a giant killer allready,its taken the scalp of my mates 450 exc toomer,all beit in the tight stuff. fun for all and only two strokes.

i was marshalling at the beach race (weston) and to see knighter beat everts was awesome the fact he was as fast or faster on his later laps was amazing,when he started to get stuck in a rut he just pulled the bike up onto its back wheel and twisted it sideways and shot out , but i think i know his secret,his healthy race prep food , beer and pork pies,and thats how we mannaged to win the word cup in 66,good old beer pies and woodbindes cigarets, so all you younguns better take note and start training(down the pub)

bo its true what you say some people like the familliar i have a mate ,and this is true ,who has converted a ccm super moto to points ignition,it was so sucsessfull in his opinion he has done it to a buell as well.his reason was he could tune and play with the advance retard himself. by the way he is mad!!!

saw joe baker yesterday on his scorpa fourstroke riding really well but most importantly he said exactly the same as steve he was having real FUN.cant be to bad if fourstrokes are bringing the fun back into trials.

a young girl at my place of work has a large dent in the tank of her kwaker 1000 streetfighter she hit a car that was doinig a u turn in a dip in the road,she hit the tank so hard with her flange it dented she is a god now! every time i see the bike it makes my eyes water. she may have dropped it of the side stand for all i know,,,

r2 will get one. he loves the attention. up to now it was trendy to be old fationed with those retro trialers(post 65,lets call them) now we have more intrest in the modern bikes(post 05,for arguments sake)or fourstrokes as they are officially known,he will follow the natural progretion. go on heath you know you want to will they be starting a pre 05 champs soon for all the old bikes?

Well here we go pros and cons of cv carbs??? in my experience (limited i know)dont take the top off the carb the diaphram goes in about the size of the carb top,but after fuel has been under it sweels to about twice it size and they where about 50 quid ten years ago,so when you trapped it putting it back in and split the thing it cost loads, will the new beta carb need regular cleaning?? i bet it will. i did have a few little tricks for re assy,but will save them for later..

r2 you said you wnted a 4t rider to fill you in!!! i know loads of them that want to fill you in allready.. you took yer boot because you where praying for a go on that bike????,you lucky bugger..

i like the no toil filter oil and warm water detergent you will still have to clean your filter first time with something a bit more toxic but once you start using it you will not want to switch back to ordinary filter oil,and its a cool red colour so you can tell when you have enough on i can do my filters in the kitchen sink now without the ear bashing

said this bit was fun take the valve out of the stem(lets more air in faster) the best peice of kit is one of the foam rings but av old pushbike inner tube will do,cover it with tyer soap or fairy liquid mount both sides of the tyer as norm then push the tube/ring in the gap between the tyer and rim,blow away ,compresser almost vital here, the pressure will push the ring out of the gap as it inflates good luck

I cant belive heath is actually riding a trialer in mud!!!!! you can tell it is someonelses,, well you still havent said how loud is it???

one of my mates went to france,and said it was fantastic,good event and really freindly bunch of boys another good outing would be a long distance trial or a 2 hour time trial your bikes would be more than capable in both events or just enter the sportsmans class at an ordinary enduro,no one is trying to kill you or the bike..

trouble is the garage cost 5000 and the wall 1000 thats more than a g clamp

slapshot thats all true if you do need a rebuild or spare parts you can allways buy a nearly new bike at a fraction of its new cost its all swings and roundabouts, my mate and his missus honestly spend more than 4000 a year on fags??????????? now if you ride trials and smoke thats really bad news

still loses less than a gasser what ever way you look at it,and if you cant sell it it still works not many gassers even last two years,really good bike when fresh,but as we all know fall to bits after a year i think the second hand value of everthing is falling ,cars,bikes ,the lot its easy for a punter to walk into a shop and buy new,intrest free or on the plastic than stump up the readys for a second hand article..

have you got a vice in the garage? just put two peices of wood in the jaws and squeez it off the rim then tyre levers as norm if you have no vice put a plank on the tyre and run it over with the car (be carefull not to trap the rim) or just ride the bike on grass with no valve in the stem that will pop it off (again verry carefully) but if you are not happy with the botches just take it to the local tyre depot. anyway the fun starts trying to get the air back in when the new tyre is on the rim,

This re sale value thing crops up a lot the fact you can only get 2800 for a two year old mont,do the math as the yanks say 4400 ish new =2800 after two years =loss 1600 ==800 a year on this site there was an 06 gg 300 for 1795 3400 ish new =1795 after a year =1695 ==1695 a year in my book that is double the depreciation and there are plenty of 20 year pluss 4t hondas still doing weekly trials

who has fitted what??? does the old 315 master sort the on off clutch or another brand?? what have you fitted??? is the hydraulic hose fitting the same thread size on most trialers,ajp seem to make most of the components

scorpa 3 you need a big hip flask, you could even fill it with whisky scorpas run ok on that ???

scrumpy are you a centre champion? i cant belive the scorpa is not powerfull enough for you??? they are really soft of the bottom i will agree but when you wind them up they rev out really well what oil/mixture you running??
