Well i managed to end up with both Tried both out and feel the 500 is hardest to ride so hence i am keeping the 500.(Westcountry boy see , strong in the body and thick in the head) So i have the 350 for sale on the classifieds page.
  3. Jonny Before you buy the twin map or prog throttle body would one of your riding buddies with a 4rt let you put there throttle body on you bike just to check, that way you would be sure I personally feel the twin map set as mild and as wild as poss was the best mod i did to my monty, good luck
  4. No dont tell us the price ,I nearly choked on my cider that is best part of a two grand bike in that condition over here
  5. Just got a relly interesting bike I managed to find a nice t100 twin a few weeks back and have tarted it up ready for a bash but the chassis was still about 55" long.(pretty standard 3ta)so i was looking for a chassis for it, Just bought a 58 crusader (enfeild) with a 3ta motor ,it seems really trick, the guy i got it from didnt know what it was ,it is 51" long no bottom rails with a big alloy bash plate lots of alloy parts, rickman rear wheel and marzochii shox ,so it was probablly used well into the eightys. It is reg BAS 501 does anyone know the bike????? It looks to have had a hard life but definitly sorted , it has been in cornwall for at least 20 years

  10. Got mine in 80 think it was 15 quid , we had to go round the block and the guy on the side of the road jummped out when he wanted you to do the emergency stop.
  11. A lad up my road took the new two part (must be abuot five parts by my reconing) on tuesday. We live about 25 miles from the NEW test centre, Lucky for him his instructor trailored there bikes to the off road portion. I didn,t realise the new test includes going through a speed trap at 40k then swerving and stopping in a box ,The lad taking his test with my mate fell off and broke his collar bone. The examiner said he was the 5th or 6th person to crash, this test has been in opperation for just over a week. What fantastic brain came up with this latest anti bike lunacy,No cosideration is made for bad wather or ground conditions. I suppose if some poor lad dies on his way to his pre test safety test then the antis will say told you so. My mate failed and he has been riding bikes for ten years at least.

  14. Ok you got me on that one, Still never mind , A bad days riding is better than a good watching..
  15. Well that has got rather a trick look to it, lets hope he get a good finish
  16. My god does it really matter.. I bet most of the riders outside the top ten ride for the privalage of being in the trial in the first place,,, WHO CARES WHO WINS ,, I for one would just love the chance to compete, There seems to be a lot of people who have something to prove, Hence ultra exotic specials worth thousands of pounds, Bring back the fun , my sugestion is anyone who cleans a section in the scottish has to down a shot of scotlands finest , that would even it out a bit.. Come on lads remember why you started to ride in the first place not for trophys i bet.
  17. Looks pretty standard (no disks) And he will have enough petrol.. GO FANTIC

Well i got one last week ,a 500 (T 100 ) My god when people say the 500 has plenty of power its no joke, It flys I have got a throttle reducer and a clutch lightener(cos you need to use it ) are there any other tricks to soften them off ,Does it need a decompressor??? Seems to start fine every time ,It has a PVL ignition set standard. but seems to want to get away all the time and almost wants to stall on tickover when on full lock .
  19. The way you ride you may aswell use a bit of 22mm copper pipe rammed in the hole That is if you are THE somerset steve the coin only just dropped..

Managed to get a triumph twin that is trials ready but needs a few mods. What frame mods do most people run?? my wheel base is still 56" is it best to mod mine or is there a special frame available?? Shall i try and learn left foot breaking or convert to right foot break ?? I have ordered a throttle reduction kit as the bike is really fearse off the bottom. It has mp forks is there anything i need to know about them?? Thanks in advance Dixie
