try and get a 50 with gers like beat rev 50. gasser 50 rookie. bit better than an auto. maybe a tad to big but would be able to ride and wouldn't grow out of so quickly. our rev 50 is a beast i can ride the sections i do on my 250 on it with a little bit of extra work. p****s all over our old ty80. however a ty80 prepped in the right hands im sure would be brilliant. theres still nothing quite as compact and powerful as the ty. (ty80 my first ttrials bike i loved mine)
  2. right then i may have a go. i can always chuck it at my dealer in pieces.

saw one at our last trial of the year think it was the first trial for the bike and it broke. Maybe theres a prob with them.

gettin to the bolt under the header pipe is a bugger. You need to remove the radiator to get to the header pipe and remove the header pipe to get to the radiator. i managed to do it somehow to get my header pipe off. think it involved taking the down tube spar thing bolts out so they was a bit of flexibility.
  5. How hard is it to change the fork seals on a 02 beta by a complet novice mechanic bleeding brakes is about my limit. what technique how do i split the forks. any special tools. Or do i just chuck it at my local bike shop and tell them to sort it.
  6. told to run on 80-1 by local dealer running about 65-1 now either way runs rich with oil dripping out exhaust.
  7. na exhaust fumes get trapped in the wods by the thick tree cover and lovely 2 stroke evrywhere.

someone p****d you off today. the pillow thing was only a joke i thought you'd take it in good humour. i know it will only be used for longish trials im youngish (16) and it would kill me and im not a fat a*** so much respect. but one day i will ride it.

i reckon if you got one of those toolbox/bags that get put on the mudguard of trail bikes (hebo make one) and was on another post on a pre65 and then put foam in it or on top and bolt it across or vertically to the airbox cover amd cut down the amount you carry it would be perfect. you just as well strap a pillow to the bike as that thing you got now.

got mine on cd on thursday. thought i asked for book but hey not particularly bothered.
  12. yea its like at work someone was saying/complaining about the dust from mdf yet he smokes god knows how many roll ups a day. i get enough stick from my mum telling me to wear a mask practising and now even at trials. (she wont get her way)
  13. good trial? really wanted to ride did well at the last camel vale (there hardest of the year) but had to go to a stupid christening instead. looking up results now. anyway my first trial adusting the front brake the night before i broke therefore no brake. then i had a puncture on the back before i even started. anywaqy one of the wettest trials ever. even stopped for a bit of lunch, but went on to win my class only 2 marks of my mate who'd was ridding a new gasser and me a knackered ty80 and been riding competitions longer. ps where you riding this weekend

flip me that sprocket guard looks bashed about.
  15. my beta pipes points down those gassers are buggers. but sometimes when your up on a moor or anywhere in winter you have to keep them running to keep you and the bike warm.

really want one especially as it could be one of the last 2 strokes. probelm is just bought a 50 scooter in the summer and will want a car and insurannce tests etc next summer. oh well have to stick to my 02.
  24. cant remember what the 80 sounds like but our 50 sounds hellish loud when revved but when idling down a hill or something sounds like its cut out.
  25. juan and david are brothers 98% sure
