  3. jam replied to coxy's topic in Gas Gas
    Yep, done all that.

Yes, mine does the same. I found if you kick it over without using the throttle, if usually starts but if it doesn't fire then it takes a few kicks for it to go.It must be the pilot jet or something to do with the carb.Anyone know what Munch did to retify?
  5. Gasser for me , look at the results, the 125 GG is the best, reliable and cheap to run. Had 2 125's, on our 7th now (06 250)

Anyone seen the 06 model............. YAK........ seems like they have run out of things to do, a BLACK FRAME ! on a trials bike, how unpractical is that! Lets see a new model, as for the 4 stroke, what a shed!

SORRY LADS I DON'T AGREE I had a 99, but after 6 trials and 4 months it blew a gasket out from above the reed valve, warranty???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one wanted to know, an ex british champ who works on them said it wasn't put together properly?! It cost me
  8. Don't 4 get to loosen off the tank, so it can move up and down to assist the location of the 4 screws.

Just a thought, anyone off to the 'old mine' tomorrow? Should be tricky after the rain to day!
  12. I restored a TY80 a few years ago and used smooth red hammerite, you can touch this up easy and its not too expensive. Depends on your budget and taste.

Just got 06 pro, not been on it yet, Has anyone used the switch on the handle bars and found it works? For those who aren't sure what it is (like me) , GG have put a switch on the bars by the throttle with 2 settings. One with the sun shining and the other with rain falling from a cloud. How does it work ? Does it retard the ignition ? I must say it sounds lovely, lets hope it performs like all the others we've had.........PERFECT
  16. I've had a 2-3 year break from riding in competition. We used to love riding Mid Centre events, one route.I've just bought a GG 250 06 and wonder does anyone ride the Group Trials,What are they like?
  17. Just got back from hols, we had a free show from the master at Longleat 'RED BULL' air race. Did anyone else see his 30min demo? Then a chat and auto's/pics. Andy - post fixed - cheers

Sounds like this geezer doesn't ride proper trials, just wheelies everywhere holding his notebook !!!!!!!!!! Try it , see what happens???

4th gear, lift at the same time you rev and slip the clutch, feet on pegs(of course)bum in seat area????? well, where it should be, once up feel the best postion slipping clutch or using the throttle. Try it, but don't blame me if you flip it!!! Practice makes perfect, Gassers are easy to do anything on.

Harley's sound and look fantastic, they are MOTORCYCLES. You can't say that about steetbikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know which to go for, had 280 but felt too much at high revs, like 250 pro 2006. Don't like other makes, Mont too much. Rode RTL back in the late 80's. Had a 93 250 and loved it.
  22. Just got back from Hawkstone, a fantastic day and result in all classes. Anyone know what fuel the HRC team use in the 4T? cus it's NOT neat petrol, you can smell some sort of additive.
  23. GOTTA to be GASGAS, 7 bikes over 12 years, no problems, Monts tend to blow crank gaskets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sherco's are cheap gassers and rattle. Beta, nice but not that good, elecs play up, Any Yamaha, bullet proof but outdated.
  24. Did anyone see Central TV tonight? Dougie was on with Dan Hemingway showing the crew round. Makes a change to see Trials on TV sport instead of BORING footy!!!! ANYONE AGREE???????
  25. Montesa's are NOT bullet proof, trust me , I've had a Very bad experence with one. I've had 6 Gasers and NO problem wih any of them. I also like a 6 speed gearbox. GO GASGAS,simple the best.
