Richmond Btc
There is no easy solution to Trials observing It's supposed to be objective but ends up being subjective The severity of the sections in modern Trials (because the modern bikes are so bloody competent) trying to be ridden no stop makes them difficult to be ridden no stop I watched Bigfoot's excellent Highland Classic video last night & in comparison watching the sections & the riders you could see how no stop sections should be ridden on a Twinshock bike However reluctant I am to admit, I think it is hard to ride modern bikes no stop, especially on championship type sections

Richmond Btc
Of the 4 sections I watched, I thought the Observers were brilliant Fair, professional & very well trained Richmond Club did a great job & I saw no dissent from riders to Observers, only at themselves if they made a silly soft mistake

Two More Bikes Gone. I Am Definately Beginning To Think Somehow Someone Is Targeting Classic Bikes Why And How?
I think you're correct The frame in the van would probably be down the local scrapyard for its metal value of about

Certainly bang on there

Who Thinks Non Stop Is A Good Idea
Lol That's the spirit I much prefer flowing natural sections, than all this stop start tight turns on a postage stamp business

Who Thinks Non Stop Is A Good Idea
It's great for all us older riders - it's all we know All this stopping, hopping & bopping makes us oldies dizzy Seriously it depends on the terrain - if you access to plenty of natural sections like SSDT & Scott then no stop is great

What's Happened To Trials In The Midland Centre ?
I remember those days, as a kid and agree nowadays people fly round at breakneck speed to get back home and people are loaded up and on their way out, when I've still got a half a lap of the last one, still to do

4Rt - What's It Like On The Road?
A question for the lads who ride them in the Scottish, what are they like on the road? What sort of speed will they maintain on say 10/41 gearing? Anybody tried a 36t on the rear, to speed them up a bit Thinking they would make a better bike than a Beta Alp/Scorpa T ride/Radonnee perhaps with a long ride seat/tank perhaps

What's Happened To Trials In The Midland Centre ?
Bloody National Park and Natural England, two quangos that add not a lot Farming and lead mining have made the Dales what they are, they are man made and they should leave it to the farmers to look after the Dales as they have done for 300 years, they've done a grand job It's the farmers' land, so if they want to allow trials on their land, they should be allowed to

What's Happened To Trials In The Midland Centre ?
Trials in Yorkshire, don't seem to be suffering (apart from the bloody weather lately) The last Richmond one I did at Parkgate, had a 10.30 start and vans were still arriving, up to about 11am, with the car park field already full and the queue at sign on was still 20 deep at 10.30am I think the trial got going at about 11am and I think the entry was about 100+ as a quick ready reckon There were no queues at sections even on the first lap, because the trial was well spread out, with a group of sections, then a decent trek to the next one through fields/moor or woods Maybe it was because there hadn't been a trial for ages or their trials venues are held in great countryside?

Mikuni On Tlr 200
Getting rid of the airbox looks good, fine if you only ride in dry trials How about waterproofing? Won't take a lot to swamp that unifilter, will it ?
