  1. Yeah, you are talking about Rick Allen from Def Leppard His car flipped over whilst he was giving it some in 1984 I believe. His arm got chopped off and they couldnt sew it back on ! Started drumming on a modified simmonds electronic kit in 1985 and the rest is history
  2. Hey Stu, sorry to hear about the injury, Injuries suck and everyone seems to be having them lately but... how can you be working with a busted hand as you are a musician? When I busted two fingers in february this year, took ages before I could play guitar/piano again. I still cant get the fingering right even now ........... and no rude remarks thank you
  3. Hey Vinnied , do you have the original full sized image please? if so, would you be so kind as to mail it to me on ian AT trialscentral.com . Many Thanks
  4. The TTC last year was an eye opener for me too. I must of counted at least 14 churches in an area the size of Shrewsbury. But at the same time, we saw an entourage of 11 police cars once, we saw some man being chased into a car park and the police getting out and going up to him with guns out. There were nearly no one around at night walking (except us lot of course) but everyday we were there, we saw at least 6 occurences of patroling police cars. The population is only 13,000 people ? Such a contrast, why is the county so religious yet there is a need for so much law enforcement for so little people.?
  5. Hiya Vinnied. Great pics Would you mind me using the pic below on Ross's site please? Cheers Ian Looks like you must of been standing next to Andy as he took this one below a few seconds after you
  6. Then your mind is closed! Every day there is hard evidence to make a case against religion and yet whatever you see you will discount and deny. I am not a believer but I maintain an open mind. Like Bikespace, if something were to happen to prove the existence of God then I would believe.. .. but saying that, this is how it is I believe .. you are born , you live, you die . no reincarnation, no after life no sod all ! but, I will keep an open mind
  7. Give me a list of the good things you perceive as being 'brought in' by the labour government? This will be interesting
  8. We have a real Queen but if you mean one which governs our country then it probably can't be any worse than what we have now! I'm not so sure either! Our taxes ARE totally outrageous. This Socialist government abuses the many people like myself who get an education, then work hard, risk everything to build a business and when it’s successful take a huge amount in taxes! We make a profit and the government takes 40% of it! And to see them dish it out to some low life who contributes sod all infuriates me. Grrrrrrr . phew.. quick , take a pill and lay down I believe in survival of the fittest. That’s the rules of nature and it’s worked for the last 2000 million years or so
  9. Heres a great example of your president at his best! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZE20lzZZF0 I disagree with you on Religion and Politics so whats next
  10. I wouldn't have neither. The whole election process is full of corruption. To watch it sickens me to be honest!
  11. The trouble is in my opinion, people just take religion Waaaaaayyyyyy too seriously.. And when peeps are having ago at the US, they mean President Bush ! With 250 Million population, surely you can find someone with some intelligence to run your country. We got 68 Million and we have Tony Blair so were struggling too !!
  12. Thats straight out of the Barry Baines school of vertical launches! ...... NASA needs you !!
  13. I bet you watched that and was itching to have a go

Looks like I lost the bet For Doug to be so fast when he hasn't done one for a while was incredible fair play! Well, theres always next year then Andy ! Cheque in the post Looks like Lee Sampson done well . Nice one matey Well done to Ross for the first time out taking the 125cc Trophy and a First Class Award as well. Only 11 points off Sam Haslam which is remarkable!
  16. Thats all part of the game im afraid gota play all the 18 holes in golf to win. Not strictly true... In Matchplay you dont need to play 18 to win ... but I know what you meant
  17. LMFAO My relevant news is Ross was out at Rider 137 and was the 14th rider to finish. He was on a JST GasGas 125 as well, tuned by Mick Danby of course He's up for 3 awards and I'm well happy Despite losing

  19. One side of the generator should be to earth anyway and the other will be the live output. I dont know what that would be on your bike so if you take one of the wires and put your probe on that, then the other to the chassis/engine, if the power output wire reads around 1ohm or less then its shorted to earth. This is the same as when you press the cut out button.
  20. If you are measuring across the two output wires from the generator, you will still get a reading even if one of the wires is pinched and down to earth. Have you measured from earth to the output wires? if you are getting a reading of around 1ohm or less, I would suggest its down to earth. p.s. I dont own a beta but this sounds like an earth short fault IMHO

    06 Scorpa Problem

If you have to keep richening the mixture to get it to run even half decent, I would suggest air is likely to be getting in from somewhere like Austini mentioned above.
  22. Really? if so , you will love him .. the man is a legend over here also, in 2008 , I have a hunch the top 2 riders (maybe 3) in your country won't be home grown !
  23. A lot of very well presented comments in there if I may say so If I could pick up on your last paragraph above, it goes without saying that by the very fact that the A&B events are amongst the best supported in the country, a lot of income is already being generated but more than that, there are a lot of very good youth riders out there who will go on to be adult riders and then eventually to the pre 2000 class (when they get old enough). Out of the guys that are making that transition, I have to mention Sam Haslam. Sam is someone who I have always admired. I have watched him like many others over the last 2 years at the youth events and now culminating in taking the British Expert title this year. It wouldn't suprise me to see him dominate the british events in the next few years and it would be a pleasure to witness. The thing is, most of the anti youth feeling is about feeling that you have to contribute to them. Lets turn it on its head and say, well by the ACU putting in a system that assists these lads/lasses to develop, I could have personally contributed to the success of Sam Haslam. When he wins then theres that warm mushy feeling knowing that you helped him get there As Telecat says, the entry fees haven't kept in line with inflation so you wont even notice in your pocket. The ACU put together a system that helps them (and these are the guys that are also indirectly contributing!) because to make it work, they have got to want to make it work. They have the right to feel the same. When sam is 65 and riding the ssdt on a nuclear powered gas gas with a bionic hip replacement and we are watching (well some of us hopefully), to know you had an input into him even being there would be more than worth it for me.. My final word on the subject IMHO
