It's in RPM in Sheffield having the new stator put on, could have changed it myself but I wasn't sure if it was definitely that, and I don't have any mates with Sherco's that I could swap parts around with. Hopefully have it for this weekend.

Have you tried inflating it up to about 20 psi and then coating it with soapy water to see where the air's escaping from?

Don't know about the noise but it should be harder to find neutral with the engine running than without, this is so you're not going into neutral accidentally when riding.
