My 240 pro, has a minor niggle. it runs fine at all revs, and settles to a good idle when throttle is closed, but after 4 or 5 seconds, it seems to "die" unless continual blipping of the throttle.....i have tried adjusting mixture etc but makes no difference.
Any ideas anyone?
cheers, S.M.

No, No, No, you cannot get 1988 rtl pads anywhere, trust me i know, they are NOT the same as RTL 1989 onwards pads. they are NOT the same as tlm pads.
You can however fit later calipers but they are hard to find anyways!!!!!
You can make some pads to fit like i did. Ask if any help required..........

Thanks for the info, . The 1988 RTL used, incredibly a slightly different caliper/pads from the 1989 model...It has taken much detective work to confirm this to be so....Meantime I have got/used a pair of tlm260 front pads which DO fit with slight mods to main pad shape, so i aint stuck!!

I cant tell from memory if thats a complete rtl motor? how does the metal plug fit on? My rtl certainly isnt fitted with decompressor. i would need to have a look at it and compare to superhondamans photo.

Can any of the experts help me to get the correct air pressure in my air forks? I find that they are very hard to check as the mere action of sticking my pressure gauge on to the valves usually lets all the air out, i know very little air is needed to produce pressure in the forks, but there must be a foolproof way to do this surely????
cheers,

What is the best way to fit new grips? ie. easy to get them slid onto the bars, and then stay on...
