  1. Sadly, Graham has lived in the shadow of Dougie for a long time, but this is a trials site, so maybe Graham isn't that bothered about putting out a press statement. I think he has finally found something he can thrash Dougie at, although he didn't do too bad a job at trials for many a year. Well done to them both, trials riders are the best :0).
  2. Check the spring inside, has been known to stick.
  3. So sorry to hear about your bikes, these people are absolute SCUM, buts what's just as bad as them are the people that buy from them, for a fraction of what the bikes are worth, knowing full well the bikes and kit have been nicked. Stealing and receiving should get one at least 5 years inside as far as I'm concerned. Hope you get them back and the W@^|<€*$ get caught.
  4. It's not a repsol headlight because it's the road kit, which 99% of owners remove, along with the speedo and the rest of the road kit. The repsol gets a headlight that's in the race rep kit. I have heard it said several times about the new bike being old bikes with new parts.
  5. Honda UK, are far from being open with info etc, (it's almost like they don't want to sell them, if you ask me) it'll be interesting to see if they bother turning up with bikes for the BVM test day. It isn't a photo I took, I believe it's one honda have released.(probably to dispel the rumors) There were lots of rumors that Honda had hundreds of unsold bikes, mainly spread by the uneducated ;0) I believe, (but I maybe wrong) that the UK bikes are comming without the road kit. Can't wait to get mine, sometime soon, I hope :0)
  6. Here's proof there brand new bikes (not the rumored hundreds sat in a warehouse since 2009) in production, looking forward :0). http://www.trial-club.com/webzine-trial/actualites/infos-internationales/news/article/nouvelles-montesa-en-production/ This also shows the massive differences in prices for the new bikes in different countries, with Spain being the cheapest by a long way :0(
  7. Get all your mitani bits from Josep Banyeres in Spain, no import tax and easy ordering. http://www.jbanyeres.com/en/en
  8. From what I've seen, it's the same base, just different shape top, so yes it should, but you'd need to fit the new rear mudguard aswell as it's a different shape where the two meet.
  9. I can't quite understand why in the women's championship, they are allowed to drop 2 days off the final score, it's not like they are doing a dozen events in the year and its difficult to pay to attend. They only have 3 championship events don't they?, shouldn't they all count towards the championship, if so, wouldn't Emma have been champion?. I have no doubts that Laia is a worthy champion, but she should not be allowed to drop missed events to win the championship. I would imagine the bike she rode would have been the exact same bike she rode whilst in the Montesa team, they probably gladly loaned the bike, or she may have had to even pay to use it. But I think they would have been pretty confident she would win, anyway, she gets the championship and Montesa get the credit too.
  10. You could try BVM, they sell Montesa parts and bikes (they have even shipped Montesa 4rt's to the US, I believe). http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/ Or Sandifords.

    2014 Montesa?

I'd be interested to hear what Honda UK have to say about the new prices, as in Spain they are

    Montesa Cota 2Rt

No thanks, I don't believe it will ever happen anyway, Honda are committed to 4 stroke engines, unless Montesa is sold/goes independent and buys someone else's engine. Wait until you try the new 2014 bike before wishing for something else. Had 3 315's, great bikes, but prefer a 4 stroke with its fuel injection any day.
  13. This is what bike porn looks like :0)
  14. Heat makes titanium go blue, maybe your bike is running a bit weak, so hotter than normal.
  15. Nice to meet you Gordon, your lovely wife and Jock :0) hope you had a good journey back home. Looking forward to hearing how you get on riding the 2 day trial on your new bike.
  16. They run hot (normal), but if you leave it idling for a long time, the fan should only come on for a while and then shut off until it gets hot again, it will continue to do this until you stop the engine. How hot is the ambient temperature where you live? How old is the bike, have the valve clearances been checked, is the fuel clean and spark plug good, clean air filter? Are you touching the throttle whilst kicking it over(don't). If it doesn't start on first or second kick, reset the throttle, by twisting the throttle fully open and hold it open, whilst slowly kicking the engine over 2 or 3 times, then close the throttle and kick it over as normal and it will start. Has the transmission oil been changed regularly and with a quality oil, like Elf HTX 740. Depending on how the bike has been ridden, there could be some issue with the selector fork. The Mont is normally pretty good. I appear to have repeated what Rich has said :0).
  17. He rode bloody well at the North Berks Super Trial.
  18. What about cycle speed trials on the public highway.

    Bou's Factory Bike

The sum of parts = the total package. But seeing as you hate Montesa's, you'll never know ;0)

    Bou's Factory Bike

Having looked at today's pics, the dark cover on the left side is just the factory head and cam cover colour (which is much darker grey than the alloy production bike) and a shadow.
  21. I notice that Bou's bike has the old clutch cover, but is the new engine and on the lft top side there is something new, like a cover or something. Anyone know what that is? Check out the pics on this site from yesterday.
