  1. Ok Tim, you've proved yourself, I'm going on a 'commie' hunt with my mate McCarthy, we're gonna flush 'em out into the open...watch my back.
  2. Man, that's a real dilemma for the current champagne socialists Cue, Clash song:- SOS Andy, link no worky?
  3. Hate...milk? now we're talking politics and psychological scars that run deep ...have you all forgotten the state of the country before she came to power, I doubt Tim could have attended school to drink his milk since the teachers were always on strike? Come the glorious day, comrades
  4. What, 25 years down the line? The notion that Missus Tatch bringing the UK banking sector into the 20th century was responsible for the latest Global financial crisis is akin to using the 'butterfly affect' or 'six degrees of separation' to describe/prove the link. The biggest mistake made in the 80's was to allow the banking industry to consolidate by letting clearing banks consume merchant banks and brokers but that wasn't Thatcher's failing since there was no legislation to prevent such takeovers. The other mistake was worldwide and that was a failure to regulate the growing derivatives market, they soon became much more complex and and trading between banking institutions started to turn the world market into one giant financial casino/ponzi scheme hybrid. If Michael Foot had been Prime Minister at that time we still could not have opted out of that. Anyhow, she was 'Thatcher the milk-snatcher'...comments please?
  5. Andy, you post up a good quality photograph (dunno who could've taken it?) of the laddo with a beseeching title for our approval but you have de-activated your like button. Is it still in place, like the spot the ball coupon? I know it's usually lower right, about 5 o'clock. Have I got to wait for next week's coupon for the answer?
  6. No Nige, Make an effort, you can do better than that. Let's hear it in your own words not some cut'n'paste from someone else's childishTwit page:- http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rjliea
  7. Hmm..we're into the realms of improvements and outright cures here? At the risk of betraying someones confidence and the confidence of a very pro-active dealer, to be fair Please feel free to join the dots :- I know of a good rider in the McTrial who was a bit concerned about the reliability issues of his steed, he was approached by the manufacturers representative prior to the kick-off and told to fit this new component that was the 'final solution' (pardon me) to the bikes' Achilles-heel. Un-named rider had no previous, personal experience of said bike's rumoured, common fault but promptly field-stripped and re-assembled the bike with the new component fitted. Result? No spark, D.O.A. so old one re-fitted sharpish...like It's all black magic and voodoo I tell ya.
  8. Like your mittens but with a place for each individual digit Someone might be able to quote the trials regulation for gloves but I can't be ar53d to look it up
  9. Ahh, been moved, I was just typing.... When she was 'King' I was an engineering apprentice in a socialist hot-bed (Walker, Newcastle) and she was demonised by the 'left'. Our shop-stewart (lathe operator) trotted out the mantra 'She's obviously snobbily biased against manual engineering workers...she constantly says'... ''This lady's not for turning'' ?? I had to point out that she didn't mean his machine.
  10. Our Shercos are second on the list of all time most un-reliable stators just beneath Betas of course. The main difference (IMHO) is that most Betas seem to die an instant death yet I've seen a few Shercos (mine included) that run weird and run sick for a while. I'm told that there is an inbuilt electronic trigger, wound into the Sherco windings, that fails and causes poor timing/firing issues. I think the Beta windings are simply open circuit faults.
  11. Are your gloves to loose a-fit? When the palm material ripples near the fingers that's when the blisters begin...also, I tried motocross gloves with a patterned, padded palm and they were worse than a non-padded palmed glove (think golfer's glove).
  12. Oi McTrotski, I didn't have a problem with her in the early years even though my Dad worked for the coal board...she really stood firm on EEC rebates and backed up the Falkland islanders. At the end of her tenure she had lost the plot and wouldn't listen to any advisors on any subject.
  13. Yes Tim, I didn't realise we were allowed to post up groaners either

    Ups A Daisy

Sorry, I can't help, you need a super hero.
  15. I must have read too much into the Ryan Young Video because I use my hands a lot. If you turn your bars keeping your collar bone in line (parallel) then you can pull up or push down on one side or the other to correct an imbalance, maybe I do this to compensate for a gammy knee? Sometimes I think I was born different? Cue Lady GaGa song... Keep going, your enthusiasm will get you there, Wayne
  16. Once started, I use this procedure ( I got it from NASA ):- One-elephant, two-elephant.....all the way up to seven then lower the choke and rev the bike a little...have I got OCD?

    Hmmmm

But not in 'an extra 10% depreciation' yellow ( I think that's an official ISO colour)
  18. Yup, he's a geezah that lad, did you see him taking liberties with the plastic..yes, them and the rear mudguard
  19. Can we put an end to the line that Toni wouldn't do the SSDT in case he picked up an injury.........
  20. I've been around a few 315s (98/99/2000/2001/2002) and by far the most snappy was the 99...just don't ask me why, but it was. The only time I ever heard of anyone altering the timing, it involved slotting the pick-up holes?
  21. 75cc of premix into 5 litres of petrol, 8 psi front tyre, 4 psi in the back and 450cc of ATF in the gearbox every change.
  22. 20-30 psi would help it corner well I bet, my 98 315 was a lean-knocker 'til I fitted the carb' mod kit (different slide angle I think?). I've held back from this comment for years but it seems fitting now: I know of a good rider who showed me the best aspect of a 4rt in top gear, he could eat a pie whilst going at full bore between sections one handed. I was seriously impressed
  23. We'll keep your seat warm in case you change your mind.
  24. 80? on a 5psi back tyre? You've got a pair of solid brass ones.
