since having my 4rt which i think is 7 months i cant remember it ever stalling, but i do like my idle on the high side jsp

i have fitted the raptor modified hangers and foot rests the quality is spot on, i bent my stock one three times so i need something more robust seem to make the bike feel more balanced or is it all just in my mind.

i wash mine off with the pressure washer let them dry then a good coat of wd40.

i went from an 02 rev 3 to an 05 4rt and i love it it makes me smile everytime i fire it up and here that rustle then one quick turn of the throttle and its in to an instant bark,the suspension is so smoooooth,there built very very well, you can get to everything they are a bit more work than a 2t to maintain, but worth every minute. i changed the engine oil and filter and cleaned the air filter last weekend and it only took me about 25 mins and i am no spanner man. then on the other hand one of my riding mates went from an 04 montesa to an 05 4rt and couldnt get to grips with it and is now on an 06 rev 3, but people who rode both our 4rts said that his was very dificult to ride, and by that i mean it wasnt as smooth on the power as mine and the clutch was a nightmare, but as far as i know the only clutch differance was i use elf htx740 or is it 470 cant remember all i know is its dear,but its good. jsp just email me if you have any more questions.

Has anyone got any raptor foot rest hangers fitted to there 4rts ? what are they like, do they make the bike feel an better ? has anyone got raptor foot pegs fitted as my hebo ones keep filling up with crud and i notice raptor ones have no bracing. Are the hangers stronger than the frame as i have just bent my left stock hanger and would hate to think if i fitted raptor ones there would be a chance of bending the frame. any thoughts jsp

just out of interest has anyone riden trials at carcroft motorcycle park and was it ok ? jsp

is it just me or is the repsol replica in the photos still the 05 model, i dont think i would be too happy spending all that extra money for last years bike, or has the 06 repsol not come out yet.

would that hebo plastic tank work on a 4rt ?

i made my own for my 02 rev3 out of 3mm sheet aly not that hard to do, have not got any photos as i no longer have it

i had a problem like this with my 05 4rt due to the fact it was my first 4 stroke and not knowing the correct way to start the beast, i removed the plug and put it in the oven not sure what gas mark but just hot enough so you can refit it with out getting 3rd degree burns and she started straight away. i also like the tick over on the high side and starting is now easy weather shes cold or hot or even in gear.

can anyone tell me where i can buy one of those tools for wiring grips on, or any method of doing it with out the tool and will fuse wire work. i have tried grip glue but i must be ham fisted as i still managed to loosen them. whats the best type of grips to fit ?

someone has just mentioned boot oil ? what is it and where do i get hold of it ? as i have just run out of dubin.

i have just put my 05 4rt on elf and its a lot easier to start whilst in gear and less jerky. but its dear stuff 2lit from bvm inc postage

mr flasher, how often do you change things on you bike ie engine oil with or without filter, gearbox oil and spark plug.

my jitsie filter fits in the cage ok, are you sure they have sent you a 4rt one ? how do you raise the front mudguard then ? as mine does sometimes start cloging up

anyone got any ideas as to where you can get elf htx740 as per the 4rt manual. could do with somewhere in west yorks, to save on postage. cos if you look on the net its like rocking horse ****.

go on tell us what oil it is, as i will be in for some later on this week, tony is also putting me 10 oil filters to one side aswell after my sucessfull biding on ebay.

sandifords told me there was no difference between 05 and 06 bikes apart from the new plastics. i bought a cheap 05 on the strength of it.

i got a set of sammy miller ones from r & t trials off ebay

<mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> are going to knock some up after the christmas rush has died down or sandifords also do them.

with the back and middle ones in it is smoother and alot quiter.

can anyone tell me if they have tried one of the jitsie air filters off ebay and if the do what they claim. jsp :madsanta:

no, whats it look like ? is it like a dark grey fibrous material in the back box neck ?
