Just a quick word of worning whilst we are in this deep freeze, i tried to start my beta rev 4 yesterday and the kick start
was locked solid after a bit of head scratching i checked the coolant level and couldt see it in the top of the radiator,
so i put some warm anti freeze in and poured a few litres of warm water over the engine and radiator,
tried to start it and she fired in to life. i have now emptyed the rad and refilled with anti freeze and shes
now all wrapped up. dont think i will be that lucky again !!!!!!!

on to the sump guard, i moved them to miss the sump guard and leak on the floor but still found the bike to smell

i got it sorted yesterday, undid all the connections and wd40 all over then reconected,
seems the earth for the temp sender was a fraction loose, tightned it up then ran and
the fan came on as normal..
thanks for all your help
jsp
-
no i had it running for nearly 20 mins, what drew me to it was it was running like a bag of spanners
and wouldnt tick over, there was steam coming from the fins of the radiator but no fan. it has always come
on normally after this length of time.
-
just been out for a good ride out today and my 2008 300cc raga ran as sweet as a nut all day,
i have just come home washed if off and now the fan wont come on, can any one please
tell me where the temp sender unit is and what it looks like or what colour cables do i conect
together to test if its the sender unit or the fan
thanks
