I seem to recall Raga being in devastating form indoor last year but he is unable to replicate it outdoors.
He is the best indoor rider on the best indoor bike which is not neccessarily the right formula for outdoor trials.
1 Lampkin
2 Fujigas
3 Cabestany
4 Raga
It will be interesting to see if Sherco or any other factories have the bottle to enter a 4 stroke outdoor and if they do even more interesting to see if it perform as well as the 4RT.
-
Nah!
Doug for the outdoor. He's only loaned the trophy to Fujigas.
-
1 Cabestany
2 Raga
3 Dougie
Good to see Doug on the podium and well done to Cabestany. I take it that Raga doesn't equal Dougs indoor record of 9 consecutive wins then.

I hope my mate got on touch with Keith, because I told him the trial was been reported as off. (due to a previous posting on here.)

I've never ridden the Jack Wood. Whats the Clubman route like?
-
I think there's a place in Stokesley that may help. I'm sorry I've no further information but I'll see what I can find out.
-
Why don't Montesa HRC market the 4RT as a Repsol replica, as featured in T & MX on 18 Feb 05. With the Repsol graphics and orange rims the bike looks excellent.
This could even tempt me to get one. Mind you I've a sneaking suspicion that someone might already be looking into creating one.
-
The Mighty Item is already with Team JLI and with the likes of James Lampkin, Ian Austermuhle, Michael Philipson and James Dabill all riding for Beta then hopefully this will bring the lads riding on even more.
-
This is a very good idea. I would ride a National Clubman series if the severity of the sections was similar to the likes of the Colonial and Cleveland Trials.

I have bought stuff from Spanish trials stores on the net. However if the same product was available down the road at the same price, then I would shop there. In my opinion it is up to the UK shops to be as competetive, both in price and in the range of products stocked, as there overseas counter parts. If there not then people are going to start shopping elsewhere.
I recently bought a Hebo windtex jacket from Scottish Trial because I couldn't get the size and colour I wanted anywhere in the UK. It was also cheaper and that included postage and packing.

PS They also included some stickers and a Scottish Trial Hebo bar pad free of charge.

I another excellent event, I'll try and get my entry in a little earlier so I'm not one of the pathfinders, although Rock House was remarkably grippy. I suppose one of the advantages of being early is you get a decent seat in the pub.
-
A more interesting match would be Raga on a 4 stroke Gasser and Doug on his 4RT, indoors or outdoors. On this one my money would be on Doug.
Everytime the 4RT competes in a Indoor round they edge away from their 4 stroke factory rivals, even though the learning curve it at times very steep.

Marky Boy,
Thats slander, I have never appeared on Booze Britain, drunk, dancing in the Hydro in Redcar at about 10.30pm on a Friday night...........
It must have been my double. I mean treble.
Have you ever seen me doing anything but daft lines. No seriously I've been training exceptional hard for this event. Last weekend was spent drinking excessivley in Prague.
Will you be sporting orange rims?

I can't believe someone expect people to organise a WTC round, with all the hassle and costs that entails, for nothing.
'Wake up and smell the coffee!'
Good luck to Martin & Jake, its nice to see a British round back on the mainland, although I've been to Bangor the last two times and it was brilliant. The vast majority of trials riders appreciate what your doing and this will surely be demonstrated by the attendance.

Your post looks a little lonely so I thought I'd reply.
Sorry, love to but I'm riding.
-
Its a shame that Gas Gas and Sherco haven't entered 4 strokes.
At least Montesa HRC are showing a bit of bottle.
-
-
If I buy a 4RT and my results don't improve can I get a full refund.
-
I think that Montesa should have continued with the 315 for a few more years, in much of a the same way as Gas Gas did with the TXT. Giving them time to fully develop the 4RT and giving riders the choice.
A 315 Fujigas replica would certainly sold.
Mind you it is a brave decision by Montesa and they should be commended for being fully commited in taking on the 2 strokes in the WTC.

Northern Sumatra, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, the Maldives etc. Puts a little bit of cold and wet weather into perspective doesn't it!
This is Britain bad weather is what we do good. That and binge drinking.....
-
The official World Trials website (address as noted by MikeID) still only has the riders positions and not scores, at the time I typed this message. Which puts TC on the same footing. (pardon the pun.)
-
I can't see why someone hasn't stormed the market with graphics, like the trialstar kit.
-
Is there camping at Hawkstone?
-
Plenty of Burger vans there too.
-
I started to read Paula Radcliffe's autobiography, got two thirds through but couldn't finish it.
