    Carb Float

Changed the float and rode at the weekend without any mechanical problems just the usual 'user error'. Thats something that hasn't happend for a while.
  2. Keep me posted. I'm already looking into Spain, Italy, Poland and Andorra. Heard some good reports on Krakow. After such a great time in Germany I'm up for some trips to Europe to cheer on the Brits. A bit of a trials Barmy Army....What a laugh.

    Carb Float

Any one had any problems with the floats in a Dellorto carb filling up with fuel. Evidently they can turn porous. This has happened on my 05 290.
  4. I've missed your sarcasm. When did you get out?
  5. Its great to see that James is proving he is more than capable of bridging the gap between the junior world cup and the full WTC. Lastly I thought that Italians had style when it came to fashion. PS I think the mighty atom needs his minder to tuck his shirt in!
  6. 11 times..................I've ridden it 1 and 1/2 times.
  7. As far as I am aware it is actually ran by the East Yorks Centre i.e. all clubs contribute to the organisation of the event, not just Middlesbrough.
  8. What's difficult, if the front wheel stops moving it's a 5, dead simple. sorry boys just catchin up.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Picture this scenario. A top British rider is testing a device that automatically lets the observer knows the front wheel has stopped turning. The said rider wheelies through the section with the front wheel locked and promptly gets a five. Dead simple.....yeah right! Not nearly as simple as a time limit, which is very difficult to argue against.
  9. Don't agree with no-stop as it is difficult to observe, the time limit in the section works fine. It would be better if the WTC has some rounds in the Winter, so as we could see how the top riders perform in all conditions rain, snow etc.
  10. Wardo, well written! I am toying with the idea of buying a 4RT and its reports like this users on these forums need. I need to get out and have a good ride on one.
  11. Yeah and I bet they end up in the boot of his car!
  12. This post is probably a bit late, as no doubt any riders having to travel to the White Rose will be getting ready to set off. It is a hard one lap course. Clubman ride about 36 sections, missing out the last two. Unfortunatly I cannot ride this year but have ridden it for the previous 3. Only finishing out of the 7 1/2 hour time limit (by 10 mins and a ran out of fuel) on the first attempt. Depending on how good a rider you are and how fit you are will determine how hard it is. For me its a good 7 hours + hard riding. Buts is a great trial. As regards getting there the start is flagged from Bainbridge. I don't know much about spectating as I've only ridden. Someone there will always point you in the right direction. Hope this posting is of some use. Good luck!
  13. Now fair enough I'm not an Adam Raga fan, but credit where credit is due. This seasons he has won both the indoor and outdoor WTC. Some achievement however you look at it. I think it a little unfair that this event did not even warrant a mention on the front cover of T&MX September 8th 2005 Edition. Are T&MX saving up trials articles for the TrialsWorld Magazine? Which incidently I like.
  14. For sentimental reasons I suppose it would be nice for Doug to win his 8th title on his first ever bike, TY80. As longs as he wins it. Possibly Scorpa 4 tricks?
  15. If Doug changes its another year on another bike. Can't see it, he's too much part of the HRC set up. Along with Fujigas and Amos. Freixa I'm not sure about. I personally would like to see Bou on Montesa.
  16. I'd want a Repsol Replica 4RT in return.
  17. If I was a Geordie, which I most definitely am NOT, then why can I been seen in some of the Gefrees photos wearing a Middlesbrough FC football shirt. G2F2 If you knew about premiership football you'd understand football rivalry. Mind you you better learn quick before Saturday. So here's a tip. Cheer for the team in red.
  18. The most important battle seen in Belgium since 1815. The runner up spot for the 2005 WTC. Whereas Waterloo was a 3 way battle between the British, Prussians and the French. This months epic encounter features the British, Japanese and Spanish. Following the crash in France Doug showed remarkably courage and determination to finish day 1 and ride day 2, against medical advise. He knew then, that the points would matter. Doug's never give up attitude will prevail and he will still be wearing the No 2 next season. Fujigas has already dropped at least one place in the World rankings. If Dougie can retain the No 2 spot then it has been a remarkably season for him. It will mean inspite of a new bike,a bad crash and injury that overall is performance and ranking has not gone backwards. Come on Doug!
  19. Dabster, So we're on a roll are we? What odds then? I reckon Doug will be on Montesa next year and will win back the Outdoor WTC.
  20. Its got to be Fujigas and Doug for HRC Montesa next year. The two riders most capable of bringing another World title for the factory. It will be interesting to see what happens with Freixa as he now seems to be getting to grips with the 4RT. Depends on the Scorpa rumour. He would certainly lift the bikes profile. Can't see Raga or Fajardo leaving Gas Gas and likewise I would expect Cabestany to stay put with Sherco alongside the experienced Grimbo. Bou could be a target to be tempted away from Beta. But to whom? After this first year where the 4RT performed much better than people imagined at club, national and WTC level I expect the sales of the bikes to increase. A lot of riders I know just love the sound of the bike alone. People held of buying the first GG pros and I know riders who have done the same with the 4RT.
  21. 2005 had to be Raga's year as he had the massive advantage of riding a bike he was totally at home on. But I can't help but wonder, 'what if the rumours were true and Raga had defected to the 4RT. Now that would have been the ultimate trials contest. However Raga is due credit for his double victory after all he did was what he needed to do and he did that very affectively. I think one of the big surprises of this years WTC is how well Doug, Fujigas and more lately Friexa have performed on bike they had little experience on. There is something about the 4RT that makes it a likeable bike to watch in action and I think the exhaust note has a lot to do with it. I need to give one a good run out as I could be a convert in the not to distant future.
  22. Well up nice and early to pack my bags for the trip to Germany. After a flight and a drive from Berlin to Gefrees I should be about ready for a stein of beer or two. Should be a cracking weekend and probably the last opportunity to see a two day round in europe for sometime.

    Iridium Plugs

What's the advantage of using an Iridium plug over a standard NGK?
