    Fuel Mixture

I took off the carb and it didn't have any dirt in it. Even remembered to check the filter where the fuel enters, again it was clean.

    Fuel Mixture

Running my bike at 70:1 I had problems with the spark plug overheating and stopping working. This was a NGK platinum plug. When the bike cooled down it was okay. Replaced the plug with a standard NGK and finished the trial. Would the running the bike at 70:1 make it run hotter?
  3. From the press release they confirm it isn't a 2006 model. However it does look great. Gas Gas do the same with the Raga Replica.
  4. Looks the business although you do need to get the rims sprayed repsol orange. Any idea of the cost? The flat tank would have been even better.
  5. The 2006 Scorpa looks absolutely stunning!
  6. I've put some holes in the back of the box and zip tied it to the frame. It seems fairly robust but I'll see how it stands up to the rigours of a trial. thanks to you all for your help CK
  7. Anyone else had problems with the bolts at the rear of the air box which hold it to the frame. The insets just kept turning which left me with no other option but to pull them out the air box. The metal also seem very soft and prone to threading. Does anyone know :- 1 - A method of repair 2 - How I stop it happening on my new air box. thanks CK
  8. Its a shame Octagon didn't have the level of enthusiasm for trials that Jake Miller has.

    New 4rt

Thats a rumour I've heard as well. If its true I wonder if Montesa HRC will take some type of legal action against the FIM. It must have cost a lot of money in R & D.
  10. Is it true that the FIM have indefinitely suspended the compulsory introduction of 4 strokes bikes?

    New 4rt

Heard that the only thing that is changing for the 2006 model is the clutch plates and, obviously, the graphics.
  12. I learnt a few things. Fujigas has the biggest mobile home, probably bigger than the average Japanese apartment. Doug's is the second biggest but looks the smartest and my car is bigger than Raga's.
  13. Doug's second lap was as good as I've seen him rider ever, just awesome. One thing that was truly evident is that, in those conditions, the 4RT is as competetive as the 2 strokes. Its a big pity the trial was only the one day.
  14. The best stuff I've used is good old WD40.
  15. Perhaps the non TC beers tents should also be shown on the site layout.
  16. Montesa HRC will stick with Doug as he is the rider with the most to offer their team. No other riders CV touches Doug's and therefore Montesa HRC cannot afford to lose him.
  17. It did somewhat resemble Mission Control in the Marquee.
  18. My thanks to the organisers and helpers of the Richmond 3 Day for doing another fantastic job in providing 3 superb days of trials riding in some of the most breathtaking scenery in England. Not that I got much chance to appreciate it. Especially Saturday which was certainly challenging. I would also like to thank the lads, they should know who they are, for helping me by giving my Sherco carb a bit of love and attention. Which certainly helped me in tackling the final day. Cheers
  19. There must be some form of copyright on the design though.
  20. Its not one of those instant ones you buy from garage forecourts is it?
  21. Andy Are L & M going to donate a crate of ale to the TC party?
  22. Or attend one of Doug's excellent master classes.
  23. Well done to James Dabill on winning the Junior World Trials Championship. Keep up the good work!
