Cheers Ben...I've got to try it now just to start sniffing it
-
Why would Graham Jarvis resort to selling his bike on ebay ? seems odd
-
Still no Joy James, tried some oven cleaner on it and still I've got stains
I think I'll have to go for a tank cover if I can get hold of them
I'll keep you posted

Quote: Andy very well said. Ian (AtomAnt) has only recently returned to the trials scene like myself after many years building up our own sucessfull businesses and families and the guy is so dedicated and passionate it is unreal ! His input is incredable and, like myself we see the future in the kids. We ride on a weekly basis with probably 30-40 of the nicest kids you could wish to meet. To see their riding improve week in week out is a pleasure.
As for money what the heck is the problem with you guys. You spend circa

Spotted on ebay, tidy looking bike

And how much do you pay the organiser to put them on for you? We all do it in our own time for other peoples enjoyment and all the funds are put back into trophies etc................................................................................
Whats that got to do with anything Ian ? you just cant hack it that no one want to come on board with your ideas
..............................................................................
You dont.
...............................................................................
Seems that way to me!.......... eh good luck to the lad and anyone else for that matter but the fact of the matter is Ross (and quite a few other youth riders) don't seem to be doing that bad last time I looked (judging by the size of the vans they drive!)a new bike every year (or sooner) etc etc.
RD's website is great mate and I'm sure you've drummed uo enough hits on it by talking about lately..but don't you think it's time you give it a rest..
-
Paying more per trial stinks too !
As Kinell says it's taking the choice away from it.....you will get guys just not turning up because its too dear.
As Club sec Ian, why don't you try it..seek how it goes down, the proofs in the pudding so to speak.
There's enough trials on at the moment to go around, Mid Wales and Midland centre are always clashing (this weekend: MKT Drayton and Clive!).
If it's a toss up between Briedden hills and say
-
I think the raffle thing sounded good, why don't you put a donation box by he side of the signing in table......those who want to give will give and those who don't won't.
At least you'll get a feel for it that way.

Can't say about a Bult but I know I've been waiting for a WES 'go' silencer for my Pinky for about a month now
Still I suppose it's not the sort of thing that folks keep in stock these days !
Does anybody know who 'WES' actually is ?
-
AA, might all this have anything to do with that website you did for Ross Danby ?
-
****, looks like I was out bid by one 'big john'
-
Cheers for the link James....Shrewsbury is 15 mins away from me
Thanks once again
-
Cheers Motoplat, I'll keep them in mind.
I always thought the forks were the same dia as the pinky but now there side by side the TYZ is quite a bit bigger.
I can see what your saying Woody about the bike being the ideal tool for the SSDT.
Mines even got a grease nipple on the headstock as well as the rear suspension linkage....is the head stock nipple standard ??
Also, has anybody got a workshop manual for a TYZ ?
-
-
Cheers for that info mate, I'll keep NB in mind if I have to buy anything else.
If I'm being fussy, I would like to get hold of a front exhaust pipe as mine looks like it's been in the wars...I'll give Birks a bell.
-
Cheers Woody, looks like I've got a 94 then (purple wheels) yes mate it was the bike on ebay.....it looked alot better in the pics than it does in the flesh
It came for the right money so I'm not too bothered....the bits are not as cheap as my TY mono, just ordered a new rear guard at
-
Just bought a TYZ of 95 vintage (I think), just wondered how many years did the TYZ sell for and what colour combinations did they have?
mines got purple tank cover with a yellow seat, White front and rear guards....just curious
-
Easy there BS.....I think you'll find it's 3 events and 6 bikes last year
-
never had to use them
One tip, pop and old inner tube in the tyre and inflate it before you put the tyre on.....leave it overnight in a warm room and it will go on easy.
Friggin tyre beaders....bloody nancy boys all of ya
-
Glad to hear it's not a scam....never can be too carefull these days eh Andy
-
Scam or not ? what do you think ?

Don't seem to hear much about the Montesa or the Sherco these days, what are the owners views on the bikes now they have had chance to give them a good testing?
Would love to own a montesa in 12 months if the funds will allow, my local dealer was telling me alot of folks who bought them don't seem to be getting on with the fourstroke.
Any thoughts from the horses mouth so to speak
-
Had enough of that fourstroke then Ian ? I thought you guys were for life?
-
I wouldn't have thought it was the stator going James, I've heard they either work or they don't work.....take the carb off and clean it out, change the plug and the plug cap before you go pulling the flywheel off.
Pullers are not much money from your local dealer (under
