must remind myself never to trial in the South East Centre
-
The 4rt will be my next bike when the s/hand prices come down to about 2.5k, the cheapest I've seen so far is about
-
Tidy looking bike, seen them in an old world round video I've got.....where would you get spares for it ??
-
Good looking bikes whatever the colour
Went along to the Stafford show with my mate, quite a few trials bikes for sale outside the main hall...mainly ty175s starting at
-
Did the feeler guage come with a free pair of 40inch waist trousers too ?
Don't give me that gave up smoking put on the weight crap hinters I hear the two shropshire gays beat you hands down at the two day (in the bar anyhow)
-
Gas Gas dealer getting sick of rebuilding engines ! I thought it was par for course for GG dealers to rebuild engines
Run Silkolene in all my two stroke bikes with no major problems, certainly no gumming up of engine internals.
-
Like wise ND, my last one looked like a minter compared to that thing on ebay ! I let it go for

What's that 2 or 3 trials ya big pufter
Any opprotunity for a quick dig

Yer not far wrong there big lad, I'm far too busy sorting out Buzzers missus when he's doing trials every Sunday
Greg, I take it your going to buy a Vee Rubber tyre and give it a go then??
-
The ACU Classic rounds do an aicooled mono class already.....different thing to a normal club trial I know, I think BS is right, far too many routes already...for me the ideal situation would be two routes, Hard and Easy.
Nothing worse than riding a trial with yellow's red and blue and white and even green markers in the same section....
-
More to the point, how often do you guys change your tyres? An IRC rear will last me a good 6 / 7 months (with turning) and a front twelve months.
With the IRC I know I'm getting a good tyre and at roughly
-
The old mine can be a real **** hole after rain.....I'll give it a miss
-
BS, are you sure that them two local boys wern't really Spence and Wells ? they can both pull off cracking Welsh accents
Buzz has also been know for his toilet antics ! puts George Micheal into a cocked hat
-
Big thanks to all the Welsh lads who made the trials possible.
My fat a*** couldn't manage to finish the trial, combination of major arm pump and lack of bike fitness took it's toll on me.
I must admit that most of the sections were too much for me, I class myself as a good clubman type rider and I guess I wont be entering one again...nothing bad to say about the event really just my lack of skill / fitness.
The mountain has got to THE best trials venue in Wales...everything you could want.

B Jesus BS ! I thought you were at least 46

I think you mean your clutch plates are sticking togethor, all of my trials bikes have done this to some degree.
They used to say that kickstarting the bike up whilst it's in gear can get the plates to free up again...

This corresponds with what I found on my '04 carb. The part about drilling through the brass ball is not necessary. You can tell if you have the new type because the spot is obvious.

Most strange indeed, like they know there is a problem but do a half hearted job to try and fix it
I would have thought that Lampkin would have pushed the factory to sort it out in the early days...never mind in 2005 !
-
Good eye there BS ! it's for my lads TY80 that I've still to finish off building up for him.
Go for it Stu, you have only got to drill the little brass ball that blocks the hole and do that small drilling at the end of the shaft.
All it's doing is extending the height of which the fuel starts to overflow...it's the same mod that BVM etc will charge you
-
Try again ! CARB DRILL MOD PIC 2
Pretty easy really
just got to try in out this weekend now
-
Twating thing won't let me download second pic
I'll try some more!
-
-
Will do Stu, off for some Beer tonight so best not make a start when I get in
-
Yes, my 02 bike leaked fuel all the time, the BillyT mod cured it for a while but I ended up getting it drilled at JLI's. The 04 bike didn't leak but I had it done for the SSDT anyway. The 05 bike was as bad as the 02! Dropped it off for drilling and picked it up the day after - never leaked since

Cheers Kinell, I'll get me bits out this weekend for a session then
