Stu, nice pics, nice to see the old Yams still being used for what they were made for
I found a nice one on ebay last night, bidded on it and in the won it.....upon checking out the sellers latest buys I noticed he'd only bouht it one month before, did ask him why he was selling it so quick but no reply.
Won it for nearly

Looks like a show bike to me..very nice and all but...is it ridden in anger?
-
Cheers Woody, looks like I might have laid my hands on an 87 R
-
Anybody got pic's of the TY mono?? I've had a few over the years and after selling my last one recently for a T/Shocker (which I've also just sold!) I can feel the pull of another mono calling me.
Any pic's of what you guys have or pic's of the beast in comp's would be nice
-
Very, very nice...give it to HRC, they know how to make a bike look good
-
Sweet machine, I'd prefer that one Ishy to the tricked out one previous.
-
So what were the problems in the SSDT with the Sherco?, the bike seems to have been shot down in flames by the 4rt lot
-
A "proper" 200cc bike would grab my eye for sure, I nailed a 125 Scorpa for 6 months before I bought a S/H SY.
Yamha lumps are great!...my only concern is who is going to buy one, or any other bike if the Defra thing gets a hold
-
How will the Defra thing affect the SSDT?......
-
I understand that Nigel Birkett is now the main importer for Scorpa UK, his website hasn't changed much and no mention of the importership.
If you tap in Scorpa uk into google it will still take you to the old website....I was interested in getting hold of the water pump protector off the Scorpa France website (proper alloy job) and I see they do some nice Scorpa clothes.
Tried to get hold of Birektt via his website ages ago to order some pants but no answer to emails or nowt...you'd think he'd get his act together if he's the importer
-
Nice post there Woody, I myself like the fourstroke bikes, not sure which one I'd buy though
Honda seem to get it right most of the time, I love my CBR600
Not too sure on the fuel injection thing yet on a trials bike.
From the Spannering point of view the Sherco would be my bet , like to be able to fix them myself if they mess up.
Scorpa's bike will be interesting too anybody know much about it??
-
Honda or Sherco (or even the little Scorpa's ;-)????
-
You lucky man to have such a bike.....
-
Well how's about it munch, how do you handle it
-
Are you up for one then BS? I would love to have a go on one....can't make Briedden this Sunday I've got to work
-
Spoke to two 200 rider recently and both of them have had to have the CDI's replaced and one guy even had to have the stator replaced too!! both machines were 04 models.
I thought all the ignition probs were early in the model range 2000-2001??....bad luck or big problem?.
Put a bit of a damper on it for me if it is a common problem
-
I dunno this topic has done the rounds a few times, you guys faff around with new rim tapes listen to the blah blah website...all a waste of time.
The sikaflex in my Scorpa wheel is doing the job just fine, I take it NB you didn't use the stuff I sent you?.
Of course pop a tube, you won't notice the difference with the "loss of grip" (if any at all) the only thing it might get is a punture if the tyre did spin (No Security bolts)
Take it from me you'll p*** around with rim tape forever and a day...Sikaflex it in and you can get on with riding your bike
-
Yeah great trial, well done the Birmingham lot always greet you with a smile..fair play to them.
Got to be one of the best venues around too, our local club sec did ask Tim if we could hold a trial there once or twice a year but no go I'm afriad.
Shame, it's only on my door step I can see where he's coming from ............ hope all this Defra crap don't mess it up up for everyone, it might end up that clubs will have to share ground in the end (if there's any ground left!)
-
Sounds like your going to buy one before trying it then ISHY?
-
Great bikes but need to be kept on top of at all times...I nearly bought one untill I saw my mates brand new 05 250 pro........very poor quality...I wouldn't even go near one now.
How do they get away with it I wonder?
-
Hopefully the weather will play ball for us
-
What does Mick Andrews do these days?...all the past masters seem to be in the importing game in some shape or another.
Went to a test day in the early 90's and Mick was there with the Yam's, They had some sort of a mountain bike race and I think Mick eeven won that!...quite a fit chap for his age.
-
Well..did anyone have a go?
-
Yeah, got mine via email yesterday...I'm first away
-
35 tooth back sprocket and I got 125mph out of my SY250
