Sounds like the 200 is just what I'm after, I'll be riding the clubman route in the O/40s so it should be spot on.
I'll have to blag a go on one, next step is to think of a good reason to tell the wife why I must have a shed full of bikes

After seeing the local expert youth rider ace nearly all the sections at our local trial on Saturday on his 125 GG it brought it home to me that nobody really needs a 290 or a 300 or any other big cc machine to get on at local level.
I loved my old rev3 250, so I was thinking about maybe a 200 rev3, having never been on one I was just wondering if they are as good as the smaller GG seemed to be.
The smaller cc bikes just seem a whole lot better to ride (at my level anyway).
My old 125 Scorpa always seemed to be very foregiving to ride and most of the time it got me out of trouble, I always thought that the Scorpa would be spot on if it was a full blown 200cc.
I don't think that is going to happen so onto a 200 REV3, they have been around a while now so are they any better than the 250's?

A mate of mine has a full disc brake setup for sale, Wheel, fork legs, caliper etc etc.
It's all quite new,I'm sure he wouldn't want the earth for it..... mail me for his phone number if your interested.

Surely the clutch and the gearbox internals would have to be changed to make 240cc work ok...major work and money

hope it's nothing too bad.
Never had any bother with my 125, I would have thought that if Scorpa has bored the lump out to 150 (or 175) they would have ironed out any carb problems (or anything else for that matter).
The 175 model isn't a cheap option if I can recall.

Take all the lights off, you get a 'daytime MOT' and you don't need a brake light either.
Make sure your electric (or battery) horn is working though

Did you ever think of just keeping one tucked away.
I've had 2 pinkys, a new one in the early 90's and a recent s/hand one (which I've now sold.
I still think they would sell if they brought them out again.

I would welcome another two stroke but I'm not so sure on a new four banger, I see in TMX this week they have tested the new range on Beta Enduro bikes fitted with KTM motors.
Nothing against fourstroke, but I would like to leave it for a coulpe of years before I had one.
If it fourstroke I'll try and push for one of the last Rev3's
