There's time for it to bomb yet (Hope it don't).
It just seems stupid to stop making such a good machine as the 315,,,fair enough if it hadn't sold very well and it was total crap, but the bike is far from that.
The guy at Montesa who made that decision must have some weight on his shoulders by now
-
At our local trial today and I had the chance to check out one of the last 315R monts (white rear guard one), great bike, top quality, and well sorted (as it should be) why the hell did Montesa just stop making it?
It seems like they have a fully sorted bike in the 315, the closer I looked the more quality bits and bobs I saw...just seems a waste to just stop making it....any thoughts?

BS is already riding a Raliegh runabout
Your right BS, you do need to get out more mate
-
Where can I get hold of some small bore vent tubing, the same as is used on carbs.
I'm guessing the ID size is about 3mm, I've tried all the local DIY shops etc but no joy.
Thanks in advance guys
-
Hey guys what can I say in my defence?? I must be riding in Mid Wales too much eh BS?
I just hope I don't ever bump into Raga!! I just don't know if I'd be able to control myself
-
Havn't got a water pump protector yet boofont, which one is best ?
A mate of mine will probably weld me an extention to the bash plate if needed but not too sure if that would be over kill?.
Lloyd: Got turned down for the SSDT I'm afraid mate
Hoping to ride the Manx 2day this year with Bikespace and Co
-
got me Flat bash plate today, nice bit of kit too not sure if it's a OE that is fitted to the latest SY's or some after market item.
It's 6mm thick!! compared to my Scorpa's 4mm, don't think I'll be bending that in a hurry (not unless Bikespace sumps it out for me )

Cheers Guys
>craftypiggy> Bike looks brilliant,What type of paint is it Marky?
Lloyd>
Paint is 'Kawasaki Orange pearl' it's what the old two stroke KH triples of the 1970's used to be sprayed in...it's metalic.....looks great when the sun's out.
>steveo> To protect your swing arm stickers from boot rub I use transperant 3M tape<
The swing arm stickers are from a MX sticker kit and are really tough, I would like some of that clear stuff though..where did you get your's from ?
On another note, I seem to recall somebody posting about a better type/make of Sparkplug than the std one...for the life of me I can't find that posting...anybody know what plug to use?
-
Hi Stu,
I think the Mont needs to gain 100cc and give it 18 months to get anywhere near the current two strokes....I cant say the noise thing was really an issue with the one I saw.
Stu, when you get back into uk you'll have to give me a bell and do some of the local trials mate
-
Cheers guys, I'll have to get on the ring around....I tried NFU when I bought the disco and they were quite expensive.
Cheers
-
Have you been talking to Bikespace by anychance?
-
Rode round the local trial along side one today, very very muddy conditions (which i hate!) I must say the fourstroke didn't impress me that much, It certainly wasn't gripping any better than the twostroke's.
Very nice machine, top notch quality etc, but I don't think it's worth the extra
-
Ha Ha BS, in fact I had a storming ride today in the mud at the group trial, nailed them two half-wits i ride round with (make up for last week eh )
-
Getting shot of my Discovery soon to buy a van (road salt etc just killing the bike on the rack )
Would really like a Transit but I was told getting it insured is a real pain, insurance company are saying commercial insurance only (lots of
-
I wonder how many guys get 'lucky' enough to ride every year then?
and does being turned down this year count for much in getting a ride next year?
-
I'm sure you polished off the dinner then BS???
-
Finished it off, second trial today and loving it
Just waiting for the flat bash plate now.

See even the 04's are still falling to bits then
-
Nice review there sideup, will be interesting to try one sometime
-
Binned the tape on my SY250 and used 'sikaflex', we use it at work, goes off like rubber, no leaks any more .
I thing worth checking is the valve, replace it with a new one for the sake of a few quid
