He avoids using his footpegs in most sections.

The first 07 bikes were here prior to Hawkstone last year.

There's a fair crowd of folk about on the Friday, part of Scott tradition along with a pint in the CB, the rest of the week it isn't difficult for someone to be where the C of C & his gang aren't. Something that's impossible to police unfortunately.

I expected to see a couch. Now if the topic title had been "An Ideal Mount For Perce" your theory might have had some value
I've heard there's a ladyboy amonsgt the Polish Cruachan staff this time, you'll be fine 'n' dandy.

he could always take the lights off & lend 'em kinnel.
-
first in the Alex bar looking for someone to buy him a pint.......
I'm a Yorkshireman, I'll not take nowt away from Big John and the fact he never even brings a wallet to Fort William, but us Yorkies have known to be a bit tight.....
Who's round is it
I was told you lot squeak when ya walk you're that tight!
There's only a soft Lancastrain would believe an old wives tale like that.

Easyrider or what?

I'm #225. Hopefully K will be rubbing the rocks this year & not have his plough fitted. On a positive note it's funny to pass him when he's got a steam on in the middle of a deep moor.

Same with the Scott trial and the 'not knowing' bit can sometimes work in your favour too
You can get off & look at sections in the Scott if you want too, it's just most of haven't got that much energy. It's quite common for the good lads to do it in areas where they haven't had chance to preview the hazards in the days running up to the event.

4 x 5 ish
Work your own times out every day then you wont get upset when A) someone works it out wrong or you go & try to haggle over it with HL & have as much success as a one legged bloke in an a*** kicking contest.
-
Yes they are now, but if it is Pi**ing down with rain (happens quite a lot up there), it is better to carry your time card in a plastic bag. This will help the observer write any delay timings clearly so there is no dispute later.
You will not be happy if you look at the results the next morning to see you have incurred time penalties through a time card they struggle to read.
Like everything there is more than one way to do it.
-
why? it's on waterproof paper.
-
Never mind maps, more flags and bigger L, R and SO signs at the side of the road
Dennis says :- Ya, he'll need signs like that, since I hear he's got his bike geared to do 96 mile n hour!!!!!!!!
-
I wish I was as past it as they are.

I agree, I rode 22 out of 23 sections at the Ian Pollock in 1st but I like the fact you can soften it if you want to not because you need to, I tried it and found I really liked it. The point is, I'm not riding World round sections or British championship sections for that matter and believe that the softer map just takes the edge off the bottom and you can still have it revving to the moon.
100% correct. BTW which one didn't you do in 1st? Top one in Blackwater?
Only thing now is that you don't need this option on an 07 bike as it's great straight out of the box. This years upgrade is probably how they should have been from day one.

Think we'll have to keep a close eye on the BIG K on Wedneday & Friday, what with two way traffic & one wrong turn he could go down as the first rider in history to do two laps in one day.
-
heard nothing yet - wish they'd get their finger out and post them though - i'm sure the've nothing better to do.
ps Sundays route is not going to be quite that simple Gizza - i hear it will involve some compulsory formation riding.
Is that everyone Mark or just the WOFTAM's
Dunno but I sure hope Gizza isn't the one sat on top.

I stopped drinking coffee for Lent to support my wife not eating chocolate. Did the six weeks or so no problems & I've tried it again over the last couple of days, discovered I no longer care for the taste. Did think it would help me loose weight as eight spoons or so of sugar a day is a fair, bit surprised to say it hasn't.

Murray Walker rode the SSDT amongst other Trials.

I've changed from an 06 to 07.
I ran a PTB (on a soft map) & a large clutch master cylinder on the 06 bike & after riding the 07 bike as Standard I find no need to fit these items. I've found the 07 bike to be soft low down but plently of grunt when needed, the clutch isn't grabby at all.
I've found little difference in starting, perhaps the 07 will start more often in gear than the 06 did. Both bikes started similar from cold. The only thing I've found with the 07 bike is that if left for 10 minutes or so when hot it can be a bit awkward to start again.

we're bred tougher on the right side of the pennines!
aye, strong int arm & weak int head.

Revised odds after round one, only CK get's 8 - 1 about Doug, the rest of you go ask my mother in law about betting after the horse has won.
No each way bets, win only.
Bou 7/4
Raga 5/2
Fujigas 11/4
Lampkin 6
Cabestany 6
If I can't drum up more than a couple of bets I'm not taking anyone on other than CK, I'm on a hiding to nothing, anything I win goes to charity as it is.
-
On a pre 07 bike I'd always add an adjustable throttle body in a softer mode than standard just to take the edge off it, makes the bike much easier to ride. 07 bike is quite a lot different though & is a lot smoother straight out of the box.

Fort William in a tent in May? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Doesn't bare thinking about.
