  1. Hi guy's, don't worry it is not another what bike thread but more of a what Bultaco to get! I am restoring a Montesa Cota 247 just now but was wondering what the most popular Bultaco to get hold of to restore. Any models to avoid? thanks in advance. John.

Have to say it is a great looking bike, I fancy getting a Bultaco for my next project. cheers John.
  3. Is there any manufacturers that make carbon fiber levers?
  4. O.k could not help my self Look for two wheels a engine, forks etc. Sorry! On a serious note i would just look for a clean bike that has not had too many owners, may be some one who has had the bike from new would be the ideal seller, service history, bills for parts fitted etc. cheers John.
  5. Have a look at some of the cycling gloves that mountain bikers use, they may be cheaper but do the same job.
  6. Have a look on the ACU website, there are a few clubs in the Kent area, you will find good information on the site. Do you have a bike yet? cheers John.
  7. Same here Steve, building it to use it.
  8. Have you found any clubs local to you?
  9. Hi wobbler, i have read a couple of threads on here where guy's have been using Automatic Transmission Fluid in the clutch which seems to give a better feel from what i read. Is you clutch newish or has it been in the bike a while? Cheers John
  10. Very nice Chappo, have you got another project to move on to or are you just selling this one for the sake of selling? Cheers John.
  11. Hi Steve, carb can be got at www.inmotiontrials.com £135.00, are you sure about the speedo as most have square drive inner cables and the round hole may square off inside, as far as the seat goes I have not seen them any where, one of my bikes has the same seat and tank unit, the other is the small seat/tank unit. Your build is looking good, keep up the updates, I have been polishing the engine block and casings this afternoon and painted the cylinder head yesterday but it looks more like a matt finish than the silk finish that i thought i had bought, can always go over it again. Cheers John.
  12. I even have the kids saying it now!
  13. Good idea, you can buy commercial double sided sticky tape which sticks great to metal surfaces and the felt would take well to it as well.
  14. Sorry to hear about the theft of you bike, at least it has not put you off trials riding, hope you get your brake issues resolved.
  15. That sounds like a great place to live and ride your trials bike, have you got some where good to ride close by?
  16. I suppose a £150 mistake is better than a £300 one to start with, if the sm pro's work o.k then it is a result, if not it is not the end of the world.
  17. Could you not make something up? I would think that you might struggle to find that as a spare part. Good luck with the search anyway.
  18. Very nice guys, noticed that it has the same foot pegs that i have just fitted to mine.
  19. Thanks for the offer, i am 120 miles north of Cumbria. I know what you mean about good riders making any thing look easy, the lad that i know rides a honda TLR 200, he is a big lad probably around 16/17 stone and he likes the sm pro's, again i understand what you are saying about the 247 it might well be that the rock shocks are the best available for the 247. What did you have on the bike before you bought the rock shocks? Was the difference very noticeable when you fitted the rock shocks? cheers John.
  20. In what way are we talking about the clutch set up? are you looking for lighter or some thing? cheers John.
  21. Is it a anti theft device?
  22. Had a busy morning rebuilding forks but can tick that job off the list, now fitted along with front wheel.
  23. O.k, the reason i ask about the sm pro's is a guy that i know uses them and he is a top notch trials rider, was looking for other folks opinions out of interest in whether the had good or bad experiences with them. To be honest cost is not a issue and i usually go by you get what you pay for rule of thumb. Cheers John.
